Love my Teapot!!

By Nana

from Jacksonville, Fl

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

Bought the Mayu Black 36 oz. teapot at my local Teavana store and it is perfect. Looked at the Mayu 16oz. teapot but it was too small (size of a mug). The cast iron teapot keeps your tea warm for a long time. The spout is longer and doesn't drip. Looked a long time for the perfect teapot and this is it!.

The Perfect Teapot!

By LLVB

from Toronto

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

The pot arrived in it's own packaging within the main box. It was perfect is all ways. Both the outside and in side finishes are flawless. For one of the smaller sized pots I was surprised how much it can hold, enough tea for 4 people at once. It retains the heat wonderfully and there is not one drip that escapes from the spout when pouring tea. I also love the added bonus of the internal tea-straining basket which I did not even know came with it! It's easy to clean and take out. The pot itself is not only practical but so beautiful, such a conversation piece! The perfect balance of form and function. So happy with it!

Don't buy online

By The Iron Teapot

from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

Bought this online. Nice enough teapot, but it arrived with the handle detached. It's cast iron and sturdy, so you can't simply bend it back in. Somehow, Teavana does not think this is a problem, so I'm out of luck and a hundred bucks, I guess. Don't let this happen to you.

Darling personal teapot

By Barb

from Just outside of Detroit

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

I purchased this small personal teapot for myself. I was surprised at the generous tea strainer. I poured a full mug of tea and the pot has enough left for a second mug. The cast iron is beautiful, so cute! I was given a gift card and have been trying to decide what to get for myself. I am thrilled with my purchase.

Ideal as a Gongfu water pitcher

By High Mountain tea drinker

from Canmore, Canada

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

I drink Oolongs and Pu-erhs gongfu style brewed in small 50ml to 200ml pots. When drinking gongfu style you do many small infusions and a small teapot to have warm water readily available is nice to have.

This small cast teapot is ideal for keeping 500ml of water available at the right temperature. The cast iron works so much better than the yixing clay teapot I was previously using at keeping the water warm. The 500ml size gives 5 infusions with my most frequently used teapots which is perfect. The pot has a nice easy to control pour.

I was searching quite a while for a small cast pot as a reasonable price and am very satisfied with this purchase.

MY FAVORITE teapot!

By SAH212

from NYC

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

I own many teapots - this is by far my favorite. I was surprised to see people leaving one star because of the size -- the dimensions are provided. Its meant to be small - single serving, that's the beauty of it. I love the shape + high quality.

Small Jewel of the Japan

By glj

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

This Mayu Cast Iron Teapot is for those who desire a small cup of tea to reflect back over the day. May I suggest the 4oz Minami cast iron cup. This makes a beautiful set. ENJOY!

Way too small. Photo looks deceiving

By kim

from New York

Comments about Teavana Mayu Cast Iron Teapot:

I really like the design, but it is wayyy too small. Much smaller than I anticipated. It is maybe a bit bigger than a coffee mug. I could maybe squeeze three cups (the small small kind) out of this, or one full mug of tea. For the high price, totally NOT WORTH IT. I'm trying to return it to buy a different one right now.
