Comments about Teavana Kyusu Teapot Set:

I bought this stoneware pot a few days ago. It holds around 32oz. I love it. Very easy to pour with the side handle and it brews a delicious tea.

Interesting Design, Poor Construction

Comments about Teavana Kyusu Teapot Set:

The side handle on this pot appealed to me, and looked like a convenient method of serving guests. However, I never got to try it out as the handle snapped off as soon as I tried to hand wash it.

Comments about Teavana Kyusu Teapot Set:

I drink an asinine amount of tea and this little pot keeps up quite nicely. The handle being to the side not only makes it look interesting but means preparing the basket and pouring the water in is hassle free. The rough texture feels great to the touch, and it is surprisingly well balanced.

The name is a misnomer. Kyusu in japanese just means Teapot, this should be labeled "Tomoname Kyusu". I do have one major complaint. The basket does not hold the tea very well, and with every type of tea save for Oolong you will get floaters.

It is still a novelty and a nice looking set regardless. But if floaters are a deal breaker I recommend using a coffee filter or looking into another teapot.
