I have this copper kettle and the inside is lined with some kind of silver colored lining... however after only a few uses there are rings of black spots forming on the inside of the kettle... what are they and how can I remove them? are they toxic? or harmless?
I have this pot, but in Stainless. I can't speak for the copper maintenance on this particular model, but I can speak for the quality and the design of this pot. I'm going on my 3rd year with it (bought here on Teavana site). I love that there are no moving parts that can fatigue and break on it. I like their whistlers: not too loud, not too soft. I like it that you can remove the top lid and fit your hand inside to give the pot a good scrubbing when mineral deposits start building up inside of it. The handles are sleek and comfortable to grab. Even though you must use pot holders, its design allows for grip. No plastic parts to melt or break. The pot still looks new and I think it will outlive me.
