Looks better than it tastes

By Automatic Didact

from Portland, OR

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

I was running out of Golden Imperial Lotus black tea rosettes for my Sunday morning tea ritual, and was very excited to purchase/receive these. However, the peach flavoring was VERY artificial; unpleasant to smell in the dried form and unpleasant to drink after brewing.

An amazing pairing of delicate flavors

By Deliam Arlen

from Clearwater, FL

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

Being a fan of white tea and long-time lover of peach, this tea had me sold from the beginning. Add in that it's a blooming tea and I couldn't resist. I can get 2 small ( 3 - 4 cup ) pots from one bulb and a third steep if I just want lightly peach flavored hot water. Watch your water temperature carefully or the tea flavor gets lost. I hope this never gets discontinued.

Chamoy Anyone?

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

Blooming flowering teas are under-rated these days, and I can see why some people do not like them. I really enjoy opening my tea hosting parties with a 42 fl oz teapot along with a 5 minute flowering tea show, for all of my guests. This particular flavor did not come to par. Many of my friends said it reminded them of "chamoy" (Mexican-style pickled fruit i.e.- mango in chile powder) once they tasted it. The after taste really threw me off as it was slightly bitter and artificial tasting. The scent of the pineapple blooming tea had a subtle tropical scent, which was pleasant. I just don't think this tea can redeem itself in terms of the flavor profile.

Enjoyed this tea very much. Brewed one blossom in the glass teapot and steeped three times-- each very flavorful. A few small pieces of rock sugar, too. Added the last steep to iced limeade twist/raspberry balsamic blend and it was delicious.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

This may be my favorite tea so far. First of all is that when brewed, visually, it has a nice, relaxing blooming effect (sadly I do not have the proper way to see this effect with my brewer). Taste wise, it does well to lightly sweeten it. A spoon of rock sugar should be enough to kick up the peach flavor without drowning out the flavor of the tea. Otherwise, it would be a bit on the bitter side. Mind you that personally I've never been one for peach flavored anything but when done right, it is wonderful.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

I enjoyed this tea. had a light flavor. One flaw, the peach was rather underwhelming when brewed. Due to the already light flavor, I would try and steep it a little longer in an attempt to extract flavor without making it "bitter".

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

I was once a rare tea drinker, until I found this tea. This beautiful tea is just that, beautiful visuallly and in flavor. I have 2 or so of these teas daily, and buy them in store (just so I can have one on my trip through the mall). The tea can be light in flavor, or heavy depending on your steaping time, and sweetening habits. The peach undertones really make this tea what it is, as it isn't over the top.

My only con is price, this is a VERY costly tea. Worth the price, but costly.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro™ Artisan Blooming Tea:

I love this tea. I love the blooming affect which makes it easy to travel with a full leaf tea. My tea doesn't crawl up the cup like photos online. Only the marigold flower in the center opens up. I have a feeling that I must have a different kind? I do have to agree with other reviews... take out the artifical flavor guys. I love the smell and the flavor, but it's not real tea. Once you find out that it's artifical it ruins it for you. I believe that most tea drinkers do not drink tea full leaf teas that cost $20 because we want fake flavors. I hope you guys listen to us!
