This was my first Teavana purchase in several years and I am glad I chose this blend: the flavour is to die for. Although I drink my tea with raw sugar, I would gladly drink this tea without any sweetener. Most of the white teas by other companies are so "light" that one can hardly enjoy them but this tea has a good body to it and a flavour that lingers quite nicely. This is a tea that I will purchase again very soon. Cheers!

I have over 30 varieties of tea in my home, most of them green or white, and signed myself up for the White Tea of the Month club purposefully, in order to bite the bullet and see if there was anything else in Teavana's shop that I liked. I go to the store regularly and have made numerous online purchases beyond the tea of the month club, and I review almost every tea that enters my house. (No, seriously-- go look.)

I did NOT like Snow Geisha. I did not sample the 'first version,' as other reviewers have, but rather the latest version, which was included in my monthly box of tea. Let me tell you why, and why I gave it only one little Buddha.

The ingredients list, like all Teavana blends, is exciting. "White tea, cherries (with pits), rosehips, hibiscus blossoms, orange peel, apples, lemon peel, mango bits, pineapple pieces and rose petals." Of all of these, the chief ingredient, the white tea, is completely undetectable. The cherries, which I strongly suspect are candied, overshadow everything, in tandem with the apples, of which only the peel can be tasted. The rose petals are nonexistent, though a second brewing brings out the rosehips, which sadly do absolutely nothing for this brew. The overall taste is strongly astringent, not sweet so much as sharply sour-- between that and the smell of the cherries (which is the only detectable fragrance of the final pot), the summary impression is Robitussin cherry cough syrup.

The color is not the pale golden pictured above, but a vivid pinkish red. This reinforces the cough syrup impression.

The tea is not soothing or satisfying. Multiple brewings-- experiments with adding sugar, varying the amount of tea used, washing the leaves, reducing or increasing the water heat -- have not produced acceptable results. I like a cherry tea, and I keep the Wild Cherry Green Tea in the house. I do not like snow geisha; it is, in short, a hot mess and a waste of white tea leaves. It is, in fact, the only tea I have every purchased that I will not drink.

Recommended by a friend and I am indebted to her still for introducing me to this tea. The name intrigued me and smell sold me and the taste won my soul. First few times I tried it hot it was great but it got better when I tried it cold. I Love to mix it with Sakura Allure that makes the most wonderful soothing tea. My Advice Drink it cold and drink it lots.

I had high hopes to try a few new teas this holiday. Once I got it in the mail, I opened it to get the smell I knew but couldn't place at first. It came to me a day after. Didn't think it would have the same taste but sure enough, it did. Cherry cough syrup. Maybe it may be great if I ever need a tea when I'm sick & need to add something to it, but not worth it any other time. May keep me from trying anything else with Cherry if it happens with any other tea.

This is one my favorite teas, the smell is incredible with the cherries and cherry blossom. It can come out bitter if not brewed correctly, like brewing it longer than 2 minutes. I would highly recommend this tea for the taste and smell make it nice to enjoy for the afternoon or morning.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:

Snow Geshia was one of the first Teavanna Teas I tried years ago when I was a poor graduate student. Despite my low budget I always made sure I had at least some in my cabinet, a tradition I still keep to this day. It is not like any other tea I've tasted. I enjoy traditional black green and white teas and tend to dislike herbal teas which taste like syrupy "fruit soup." When you first smell it, it reminds me of cherry popcicles form when I was young. After brewing the delicious aroma remains but the actual taste is not as sweet as might be expected based on the smell. I especialy like that it is a bit tart and dry,and I enjoy it both with and without sweetener depending on my mood. Whenever I have company I love to share this with my guests who always comment on what a unique and delicious blend it is. I would be so sad if they ever discontinued it becuase I ahve loved it through all its incarnations and don't think I'll ever find another tea to compare to it.

When I was pregnant last year I developed a very unfortunate aversion to any tase of tea (it was awful for this typical 3-4 cup a day drinker). I missed my snow geshis most of all and would sometimes brew it anyway just to be soothed by the amazing smell which thankfully didn't bother me.

This tea is a huge failure and I'm not sure why it's still around. It has a VERY strong smell of artificial cherry, much like Robitussin or candy. While that might appeal to some, it does not have any flavor at all. Seriously, hold your nose and drink it- you will taste nothing. Who knows what the smell comes from. There was only a single dried cherry in the mix I bought. I hate to do it, but this one is going straight to the garbage.

I do not know if I want to drink it or just smell it! It is a bit on the light side so I use a bit more for my tea and sweeten it with honey. I make it for a full ice cold pitcher or for a hot tea at night or morning. It smells SOOO GOOD!!!

I bought this tea in the store because of the cherry flavour and it has an amazing aroma. Sadly when I brewed it, it was undrinkable. I've tried it 3 times now. Finally, on the 3rd try, it was okay but not great. Might make a good potpourri.
You do have to be careful with temperature and steeping time to make it drinkable.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:

This is a lovely romantic tea. It smells of sweet Gummy Bears and Bubble Gum combined. This tea is best when it's lightly brewed for a few minutes. The extremely faint color of this White Tea is very deceiving so be careful not to over-steep. The flavor lingers on the palette and the aroma is to die for if you like sweet things. The undertones of rose petals makes this a romantic brew to be shared by two. This is the first White Tea I've brewed and I love it. I would not only buy this tea, but I would recommend giving it a try at least once (or purchase a small sample packet).

It's only downfall would be that if it's over brewed, it can be bitter.
