This was my first Teavana purchase in several years and I am glad I chose this blend: the flavour is to die for. Although I drink my tea with raw sugar, I would gladly drink this tea without any sweetener. Most of the white teas by other companies are so "light" that one can hardly enjoy them but this tea has a good body to it and a flavour that lingers quite nicely. This is a tea that I will purchase again very soon. Cheers!

I have over 30 varieties of tea in my home, most of them green or white, and signed myself up for the White Tea of the Month club purposefully, in order to bite the bullet and see if there was anything else in Teavana's shop that I liked. I go to the store regularly and have made numerous online purchases beyond the tea of the month club, and I review almost every tea that enters my house. (No, seriously-- go look.)
I did NOT like Snow Geisha. I did not sample the 'first version,' as other reviewers have, but rather the latest version, which was included in my monthly box of tea. Let me tell you why, and why I gave it only one little Buddha.
The ingredients list, like all Teavana blends, is exciting. "White tea, cherries (with pits), rosehips, hibiscus blossoms, orange peel, apples, lemon peel, mango bits, pineapple pieces and rose petals." Of all of these, the chief ingredient, the white tea, is completely undetectable. The cherries, which I strongly suspect are candied, overshadow everything, in tandem with the apples, of which only the peel can be tasted. The rose petals are nonexistent, though a second brewing brings out the rosehips, which sadly do absolutely nothing for this brew. The overall taste is strongly astringent, not sweet so much as sharply sour-- between that and the smell of the cherries (which is the only detectable fragrance of the final pot), the summary impression is Robitussin cherry cough syrup.
The color is not the pale golden pictured above, but a vivid pinkish red. This reinforces the cough syrup impression.
The tea is not soothing or satisfying. Multiple brewings-- experiments with adding sugar, varying the amount of tea used, washing the leaves, reducing or increasing the water heat -- have not produced acceptable results. I like a cherry tea, and I keep the Wild Cherry Green Tea in the house. I do not like snow geisha; it is, in short, a hot mess and a waste of white tea leaves. It is, in fact, the only tea I have every purchased that I will not drink.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
This smells and tastes like some sort of watered down cherry medicine. I tried it once and won't again. Every time my roommate makes it, I make sure she washes out my TeaMaker so subsequent tea isn't contaminated.
If you like artificial cherry, you'll probably love this (as my roommate does). Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
First time trying this one. Won't buy it again. I found it very pricey and it did not deliver. Love the smell but the taste left me wanting. The white tea leaves get totally lost in trying to compete with all the other ingredients. Very disappointing. I usually buy from a small local tea shop where I'm more comfortable because there isn't the large push for employees to upsell. Did not like the Teavana experience. Probably won't return.

This is my all time favorite white tea. I could drink it all day long and fill up on wonderful benefits. :) It smells lovely, almost like cherry certs mints. Absolutely love it. I suggest you at least take a sniff of this one next time you go to the store.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
I discovered Teavana many years ago and this is one of the first tea flavors I tried. I had never had a white tea before. Over the years I have tried many of their teas, but this one continues to be my absolute favorite. It just has a beautiful aroma!! I have shared it with family and friends and it continues to impress.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
I have about 25-30 different Teavana teas in my pantry, loyal customer. Definatley will say that this tea is horrible. The aftertaste is a cherry flavored medicine bitter taste, does not taste natural. The only way I will purchase online after this is to know exactly what the taste is by purchasing a hot cup at the store. Not only does it have a terrible aftertaste but as it cools off it gets bitter. Very disappointed that the flavor does not match the aroma.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
Snow Geisha is a high-mantence little girl, the water can't be too hot nor steeped too long. (2 min. tops)This is a cherry flavored tea, you'll notice from the moment you smell it, the cherry scent will make your mouth water. As others have warned, it will over power anything you mix it with. I do like the tea when you need a boldly fragant tea, with a lovely soft, tangy flavor. I use a touch of sugar and enjoy very much.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
I am a white tea lover and I have tried dozens of Teavana teas, particularly those with fruit tones. This one smells really nice in the bag, but the first time I brewed it the taste made me gag. The flavor is extremely similar to cherry cough syrup. Even when I tried blending it with other fruit teas it just seemed to ruin the beautiful flavors of those teas as well. I would recommend the super fruit unity green tea over this one. Same fruity quality with a much nicer taste.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
This was one of the first lables I saw when I went to Teavana for the first time. The name sounded so cool, I went home and looked it up. When I saw that it was a cherry tea, it made me a trifle apprehensive. In my experience, cherry-flavoured things rarely taste like actual cherries, so I was nervous when I went to buy it.
When first I smelled it, my immediate impression was "Oh dear: coughdrops," but when I caught another whiff, I actually really liked the scent. My first attempt at brewing the tea went very well, and I found that it has a light, delicate flavour and exquisite colour as well. In my opinion, the name "Snow Geisha" portrays this tea exactly: the white tea has a snowy, delicate poise, while the cherries add a sweet sort of exotic blush.
When I make this in my 8 fl.oz. teapot, I bring the water to a full boil, place an ice-cube over 1.5 tsp. of tea and pour the water. Then I add one or two more cubes of ice and allow to steep for for 1 min. 30 sec.
As the clerks will tell you at the store, this is a touchy tea when it comes to preperation, so be VERY careful to follow the instructions; if you let it steep too long it will taste like bitter cherry chewing gum (Not an exageration). Don't worry if you scorch it a little: it will still taste okay (as long as the water isn't TOO hot), though it won't have as much flavour.
If you feel the need to sweeten it, a modest glob of honey is quite satisfactory, though personally I would sooner recommend a sprinking of sugar: it doesn't cloud the delicacy of the white tea as much as the honey might.
Overall this is a mervelous and very aesthetically pleasing tea, and one I enjoy immensely.

Comments about Teavana Snow Geisha® White Tea:
This tea has such a wonderful smell that I had to have it, although it was pricey. I was very disappointed in the taste. The first time I used it, I steeped it too long so it was bitter. The next time I was determined to time it for 2 minutes, no longer. It was still rather bitter and not nearly as flavorful as it smells.
