When I first got this tea in the mail, I was so excited! The smell is what first captivated me- it smells really light and flowery, and a hint of fruity. This is my favorite tea for at night, winding down from the day, and relaxing. It's so refreshing and calming!
Recently I mixed it with Rooibos Tropica, which is my all-time favorite tea, and it is a PERFECT blend!! I love it so much and hope that someone out there reads this, tries it, and loves it as much as I do :)

I don't normally like floral teas. I tend to prefer something with a little more body, and this isn't really an exception. However, that's just me. Objectively, this tea is pretty phenomenal. When I first tried it I instantly thought of some sort of Victorian garden party. Drinking this tea feels like you should be sitting at a table in a garden eating tiny finger sandwiches...which is kind of awesome. I enjoy it as a very occasional indulgence, though I have also mixed it with Honeybush Vanilla and found it VERY satisfactory. (The Honeybush gives it a little more body but doesn't take away from the floral flavor.)

I love the floral tones of Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls, but at first the scent of the Shanghai Orchid was overwhelming. It smelled like perfume for the mouth and I wasn't keen on seeing how that would play out. After several attempts to blend it though I have found the absoulte perfect solution; Peachberry Jasmine Sutra, Blend these two at 175 for 2 minutes with around 1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons of sugar and hot or cold this will make a winner!

I can't get enough of this tea. Every stage of it is amazing. I huff the beautiful fragrance out of the tea tin and even out of the used leaves in my infuser! I wish the smell of this tea came in a perfume. It doesn't taste perfumey, though. It sparkles and blooms on my tongue. It's tart, refreshing, and...pretty. My only small complaint is that I don't detect the melon.

I bought 4 oz of this tea six months ago because I fell in love with it in the store, and the idea of drinking orchid tea. While I enjoy this tea mixed with other milder teas, I can't bring myself to drink it straight up anymore; the taste/scent is too overpowering, and I still have quite a lot of it left to drink. I will finish drinking the tea, but won't be buying it again.

I am Teavana's white tea fan and this is one of my favorite. I usually have this tea in the evening with my book. This tea has very elegant and sophisticated taste - not overpowering. I hope that Teavana has more floral white tea that I can enjoy just like this tea (I like floral tea instead of fruity one.)

I ordered this tea a while back, and am ordering again today. This tea is excellent, but you have to know what you like. White tea has a very light flavor. If that is what you like you'll like this tea. It is floral, but the tea isn't overpowered. If you mix in a little raw/unrefined sugar it makes the floral flavor really pop. Be careful to not use water that is too hot, or steep this tea too long or you might end up with some bitterness. If you do end up with bitter tea add a bit more sugar to cut the bitterness down and try cooler water and/or less steep time.
Just to compare this tea is a lot lighter than the jasmine dragon phoenix pearls. The tea itself is lighter, and the floral scent/flavor is lighter. Drinking this tea a while after you have eaten anything really helps you enjoy the flavor more as well.

The store clerk politely cautioned me about the strong floral fragrance and taste of this tea. As a fan of both white tea and flowers/orchids in general, I thought I would enjoy this tea. I have to say that I agree with the clerk, however, and I find the tea to be overpoweringly floral. I used the Teavana app to find that it would blend well with Monkey Picked Oolong, and find that it is nice when blended with the Oolong. I will finish this tea by blending it to cut the potent floral taste, but won't be buying any in more in the future.

First time I brewed this I used water that was too hot and it turned out bitter like white tea does. The second time I tried it I made sure the temperature was right and wow...I was blown away by the wonderful light but distinct floral notes in this tea. So--make sure (very sure) you brew this correctly (right water temp, seep time, etc.) and you will love this. I can see ladies chatting over a tea time sipping this brew, as well as anyone who wants to relax with a lighter tea taht still packs flavor.

As others have stated, the fragrance of this tea is delightful, and the taste is just as good. I would recommend this tea for any time of day, but it makes a great afternoon tea.

I bought this tea on impulse because of the orchid floral aroma. I tried this tea hot and iced and it continues to have a great aroma but little flavor. It blended well with the monkey picked Oolong tea which cut down the floral aroma and added some body to the tea.
