Note: I'm making the tea as I write this!
As I open the bag, I get a huge waft of coconut and a distinctive smell I can't put my finger on. I then realize it's that cherry smell that lingers around with almond paste or pure almond extract.(No amount of chemical tampering could create that lovely aroma!) Although a little harsh, the scent calms down as the tea steeps. Now, six minutes later, I'm in HEAVEN!!!!
My only complaints are: it's a little weak (but that's my own mistake; I added too much water) and the pieces of coconut are a little large. This makes it a little difficult to get the right amount of each of the ingredients. But that's no biggie! ;D The perfect food pairings: a fresh-baked almond croissant (forgive me if I misspelled it!) or an oatmeal cookie! And when you've gotten as much as you could out of it, don't toss it, unless you're tossing it into your compost pile! ;D

I purchased this tea because I fell head over heels in love with the Rooibos Chai, and thought this would be a good compliment to that....Sadly mistaken. I believe the tea tastes good, except I can't get passed the artificial smell. This is a flavored tea (found out the hard way). This smell is like an artificial cherry which doesn't correlate to any of the ingredients. I wanted so badly to like this tea since I love all the ingredients. Tea is 50% aroma to me, and I just can't get passed the smell.

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
First off, this tea is a golden color when steeped, unlike some of those reviews say. It looks almost exactly like the picture Teavana provides.
Anyway, on to the review.
I went to my local Teavana to try and find some new teas to try. I spent some time smelling and checking out quite a few different teas. This tea stood out the most due to its amazing aroma. I had to get some so I got 2oz of this tea and some others to try out.
Once this tea is steeped, the aroma dies down. I steep it for 5-6 minutes. It turns out to be a nice golden color and the taste is amazing! It quickly became one of my favorite teas. It tastes good with or without sugar. If I want something spicy or nutty I go without sugar, but if I am looking for something sweeter I add some rock sugar to taste. I have already gone through my 2oz in 5 days.

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
About 2 years ago I was going through IV therapy(similar to chemo) for a chronic illness. The medication's worst side effect was the nausea/vomiting. I tried everything to help cope and was often dehydrated. I couldn't even keep regular tea down (from local grocery store). I was walking through the my local and saw a new store had opened- Teavana. I went in and was transfixed. I was approached by a very helpful tea expert and I felt comfortable enough to explain my situation and asked for some ginger tea. Sha recommended the ginger coconut rooibos tea. Needless to say, it really helped. I have been hooked ever since. I still drink the ginger coconut daily even though I have long finished therapy because it is SOOO GOOD!!

I was very excited to discover this tea at the store but I am disappointed with it.
It does not taste as great as I would have expect it.

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
This tea is DELICIOUS! It's unlike any other tea I've had - rooibos or otherwise. The blend of spices and flavors is pretty incredible. It's especially great after dessert, on a cold evening, or first thing in the morning to wake you up. This is one of those teas that is truly a Teavana original. Love it!

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
I love spicy teas, so I went for this when a Teavana salesgirl recommended it to me. All the ingredients sounded good--and it smelled interesting. However, when I brewed it, the taste was artificial, almost medicinal. Yuck.
After sitting in my cabinet for about a year, the medicinal, artificial taste has mellowed somewhat, but I still get the strange not-quite coconut taste more than anything else. I have started drinking it with milk to dull the weirdness, just because I don't want it to go to waste. Boyfriend (who drinks without milk) says the nuttiness is the predominant flavor to him. He does not like this tea, either.

This tea tastes and smells fantastic. It has a coconut and spice combination that I quite enjoy. I find it quite flavorful and bold, not weak at all. It is my favorite so far.

This tea is a great crowd pleaser. It has a light flavor but with the hints of coconut and pepper to brighten it up. This is a wonderful tea to have after a bad day.

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
I love this one. I am a fan of anything ginger, so this was recommended to me by the person at my local Teavana. I have it mixed half and half with the Monkey Picked Oolong, which makes for a great after-dinner tea. The ginger and oolong help to soothe the stomach. I feel like it might be a bit overpowering if not mixed with the oolong, but the flavor is really delicious.

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
I got this one to go at my local Teavana just because I wanted to try it (it's how I try all new Teavana teas before I buy them) and it was fabulous! I loved the smoothe, sweet coconut after-flavor. I am thinking about blending it with other teas, but love this one enough to drink all on its own!

Comments about Teavana Zingiber Ginger Coconut Rooibos Tea
:
I love tea hot or cold but this combination of tea was just not for me. I love ginger and coconut but not together in a tea. I made iced tea with mine, maybe it will taste better hot. I would recommend this to anyone that would like these two flavors together.
