Tea purists beware!!!!
This is one of my favorite new teas. I've already went through the 6oz I bought the day of the new tea launch. I've made it cold only so far and I don't think this is one I'd make hot but I absolutely love this tea cold!

I was drawn to this tea because I love Cabernet Sauvignon. I thought it would be a really cool flavor profile for a tea. The rooibos definitely takes a back seat - at quick glance it looks more like a fruit based herbal tea. Brewed, it becomes too flowery and sweet between the notes that are way more wine-like. It's got the grape flavor at first, followed by it being overpowered by hibiscus, and it finishes off with a smooth vanilla flavor. Cooled off, the hibiscus becomes less prominent, but sadly so do a lot of the flavors that made me enjoy this tea. I think even a quarter less hibiscus flowers in this tea would really improve upon it. Usually I enjoy hibiscus, but there are so many interesting things going on with this tea that it takes away from the experience - Cabernet is not typically a sweet wine anyway.

I've always been a coffee drinker and only used to drink tea from the bags until I found loose tea. That was great, but when a Teavana store opened up in our local mall well it took me to an entirely new tea level. Water temp and quality of tea DO make a difference in the taste. I love this Opus Rouge and is my new favorite..aroma is like drinking a fine glass of wine! Oh and if you really want a great cup of tea get the Breville Tea Kettle..OMG.

I was really looking forward to trying this tea after reading all the reviews about it (I loved the idea of all the berries and the vanilla), so I bought about 4oz of it at the store, and I remember smelling it when I got home and it smelled like bubble gum. Not to be dissauded, I made myself a cup of it, and it still retained that bubblegum scent, and to my horror, tasted like it, too. I've tried blending this tea with others, such as the Joie de Vivre and the Acai Mateini, but neither of them can cover up that bubblegum taste (and it ruined the flavors). If I weren't so adverse to wasting money I'd probably throw this away, but I'm going to try to make myself drink it. Hugely disappointed.

This tea was flavorful and fruity! It reminds me of grape-flavored candy--but not in the Dimetapp sort of way. I would use about three packets of Stevia with a cup and it is one of the contributers that has helped me lose weight.

We are big rooibos tea, herbal tea, and cacao drinkers at our house, and we really enjoyed this one. Even both of our young sons thought it was great. It is good hot (tastes like a hot grape drink) but amazing iced. My husband likes it plain, but I think a little squirt of agave nectar makes it perfect. And we got 2 good steepings out of the leaves, too.

This is a good herbal mix that sounded divine. It is very good overall, but has an unfortunate Cool-Aid type flavoring to it.

I bought this tea on a whim, and I'm glad I did! It is very fruity, and a little tart. Actually, it's almost more like a juice than a tea, but I really enjoy it. I added a little sugar and it made it wonderful.

Very very grapy. I wasn't prepared for it to be so fragrant. I knew as soon as I opened the package that it wasn't going to be one of my favorites (I ordered it online) It reminds me of grape Kool-aid and being a kid. I think it would be better cold but I don't think I would be repurchasing this one.

My extremely helpful sales associate recommended I blend this with the Youthberry. She couldn't have been more right. It's absolutely amazing. The Opus adds a very full bodied flavour, which is complemented wonderfully by the lighter flavor of the Youthberry. Definitely give it a whirl.
