Description

Opposites attract and travel famously together in this rooibos adventure inspired by the famed Singapore Sling cocktail. This tantalizing taste of tart, sweet, and creamy flavors is a nod to the past. Created by combining tart cranberry and cherry with sweet pineapple and orange and finished with vanilla, this concoction commingles the spirits. Coolest shaken over ice, or stirred and served hot.

Sweet pineapple blends with bright cherry and cranberry notes and smooth vanilla

This tea is very delicious and if you're looking to try a new tea but not spend a hefty amount this is the tea for you. The smell and flavor are strong but not overbearing. The smell is of a cranberry and light licorice smell. Although I thought I might not like it that much when I smelled it, as soon as I took the first sip I fell in love with it. It is flavorful with notes of cranberry, citrus and the very slightest spice. The color is of a dark bronze/red-brown color. The tea may be tart with no sugar but I used sugar in mine and it was perfect. This tea could be great for waking up in the morning because the smell and taste are generous in that aspect, but might not be best for winding down at night because the tea does wake up your senses. With the smell and taste combined, this tea is the best tea for fall with all of the harvest and slight spicy notes of autumn, something I really love.

There is something very off putting about this tea. As soon as I opened the package I was hit with a strong artificial medicinal smell. It was overpowering! I brewed up a cup, hoping it would taste better than it smelled. Unfortunately it didn't. It tasted almost exactly like a melted cherry cough drop. Not very pleasant. There were some good fruity notes, but they were overwhelmed by the medicinal flavor. I adore Teavana, but this particular tea needs some more work.

When I first bought this, the smell hit me like "Whoa", but the taste is great. I don't like this very much hot, it's just too much. But it is great cold. I steep for about 8 minutes, and add a cube of sugar, and some orange juice (no pulp). I don't have a big problem with the smell, since I drink it with a straw...
I made a bag of this and sent it to my gram, and she loves it.
As my first teavana tea, I think its great!

This tea tasted exactly like a cough/cold/flu medicine. It is the WORST Teavna purchase I've ever had. I have never disliked a tea before. All you have to do is open the pouch and you'll think its full of cough drops.

Think it gets better after being brewed? Wrong, tastes like a nasty cough syrup taste. Apparently who ever put this concoction together has never been to a pharmacy.

I have to say, I wasn't all that fond of this tea as it lacked body and left a bitter aftertaste; however, mixed with the Spiced Apple Cider (http://www.teavana.com/the-teas/rooibos-teas/p/spiced-apple-cider-rooibos-tea), and it's perfect. It tames the sweetness in the cider and the cider boosts the body in this. Perfect match, in my opinion. No sweetener needed.

        Not Unpleasant . . .Just Odd . . .

A very ODD Tea. I totally agree with the reviews here stating it tastes like cough medicine - but without being "medicine-y". It is a very sweet tea . . .rather, it is a sweet flavor, becuase there is nothing "tea-like" about this tea. Being the "Tea Junkie" that I am (I have approximately 85% of the teas from Teavana, plus a bevy of tea from around the world), I am disappointed in this tea, as there is absolutely nothing "Cranberry" about it, nor would I even say this is "Tea". Don't get me wrong, it isn't unpleasant, it is just extremely Odd. It is almost like the flavors don't mingle well or perhaps, there is one ingredient that is ruining the entire tea. I cannot put my finger on it. Definitely a "miss".

I really enjoy this tea. It smells like a fruit punch. I thought there was a slight medicinal smell before brewing but a fruity smell after brewed. This tea can be steeped at least twice with good results.

It's okay, Not my favorite teavana tea. At times it tasted like a cranberry cocktail juice. other times it had a taste like cough medicine taste. You don't need much sugar maybe a teaspoon of sugar.

I am in love with this tea. Nice, bold, cranberry flavour with just a hint of spice. I've tried it hot and iced and enjoy it both ways. Good on its own or blended with Blueberry Bliss for extra fruity fun.
