I should have listened to the reviews that said this tea tastes like cold medicine. Silly me - I thought that surely, Teavana wouldn't make tea that tastes that awful!

But oh, they do, and here it is. The second it started brewing, it smelled like cough syrup. The taste is an odd combination of repulsive cough syrup flavor and a watered-down sense.

I told this to my husband and in disbelief, he decided he had to try it as well, only to quickly exclaim "It DOES taste like cough syrup!"

I'm tempted to start buying my looseleaf tea elsewhere. With how ridiculously much Teavana tea costs, they could at least back it up with a satisfaction guarantee. I bet they'd remove really poor quality teas like this one a lot faster if they did.

At first whiff this tea smells amazing, I can almost "taste" the berries. After making it both hot and cold I discovered for me that it is really bitter as an iced tea. As a hot tea it tasted better. I was debating whether to purchase more since it's on sale, but I saw the full list of ingredients and because of the "lemon crispies" in it and what that is made of I will not buy again. Here is the full list of ingredients:
Candied pineapple pieces (pineapple, sugar, citric acid), rooibos, apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, natural & artificial flavoring, juniper berries, carob pieces, citrus slices, citrus peels, cranberry pieces (cranberries, sugar, rice flour, sunflower oil), cherries, orange juice bits, cranberry slices, pineapple chips, vanilla pieces, lemon crispies (maltodextrin, lemon juice concentrate, sugar, distarch phosphate, sodium alginate, riboflavin).

Teavana if you read this please consider reducing some of these artificial and strange ingredients in your teas!!!

      Hall's Cough Drops

        Best Uses

It's pretty rare that I purchase a product and after one testing fight the urge to simply throw it out. This tea is one of them. It's bitter and medicinal, and the smell that comes out of the bag is straight up Hall's cough drops (it tastes like them, too). I tried adding more sweetener, I tried chilling it to see if maybe cold the flavors would be more mellow. They aren't. I'll likely be throwing out the entire bag.

On my last Teavana purchase, I added several new teas to my cart and this was one I'd been curious about for awhile. I like fruit-flavored teas, but not all of them are that great. This was a really interesting one, At first sniff, the smell is overpoweringly CHERRY! I worried it would just taste like Cherry Kool-Aid because of the scent. However, it brews up a nice dark red and mostly tastes like a very slightly spicy and very fruity drink. You do get the cranberry and cherry notes, there was not nearly enough Rooibos in the blend to call it a Rooibos. On the 2nd time I made this, I added Rooibos Tropica to the mix and it was quite good. Something about this tea reminds me of holidays and cool weather - feels like an Autumn/Winter blend. Like a non-alcohol Mulled Wine. Will keep it for the cool months :)

I love all things cranberries usually but this was just too much to swalow. I could barely drink it whether it be hot or cold. I just found it to be a little to much for me.

            Bubblegum?!

In the tin the cranberry scent was strong, but after I was made a cup iced it tasted exactly like original flavor bubblegum! I was in the mood for cranberry, but I liked it all the same.

When I first bought this, the smell hit me like "Whoa", but the taste is great. I don't like this very much hot, it's just too much. But it is great cold. I steep for about 8 minutes, and add a cube of sugar, and some orange juice (no pulp). I don't have a big problem with the smell, since I drink it with a straw...
I made a bag of this and sent it to my gram, and she loves it.
As my first teavana tea, I think its great!
