I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TEA! It is so unique! Being a Teavana employee for 2 years now, I have had the opportunity to taste many different teas from various places, and, over time, learn how to appreciate a good tea. This is a phenomenal Oolong! At first, I didn't know how a plain Oolong could taste "creamy" until I had the opportunity to taste it myself. It is insane! It is almost as if you added creamer to the tea, and it even feels thick in your mouth (in a good way). I find that I can resteep this tea about 4 or 5 times and find myself drinking it the most out of the new teas that have recently been launched. Since most of the caffeine is released in the first cup, you can resteep this tea throughout the day and finish up with your 5th cup at night with barely any caffeine in it. I love it!
Teavana really hit it big with this tea! I have found my new favorite! :) Try it for yourself! I am sure that you will love it as much as I do. :)

Very Floral!
I don't like that three stars says that this tea is ordinary- it is anything but that! It's a delicious tea but it is a little like drinking perfume- it is very floral. ...Read complete review
I don't like that three stars says that this tea is ordinary- it is anything but that! It's a delicious tea but it is a little like drinking perfume- it is very floral. Because of that, I think that I would not be able to drink it every day- I would soon get tired of it. But it's a lovely tea for once in a while.

In addition to a cast iron teapot I just purchased a Yixing clay pot and needed to decide which tea I was going to pair with it. After trying many Oolongs my clear favorite was the Mountain Thai - even over the more expensive monkey picked. This Tea is very smooth with no bitter aftertaste what so ever. Goes great plain or with a little bit of honey or sugar. Very floral smelling. It's my special weekend tea when I can wind down, curl up with a good book and relax.

I've tried a few oolongs from Teavana, none of which they sell anymore, but i'm glad they have this one still. I've also tried Oolong teas at various restaurants/tea houses. I added some raw sugar to it for the first steeping, and I took a sip and I could swear I tasted honey. And thats not just the raw sugar either, I don't get that flavor with any other tea i've tried. Unless I add honey of course! Hands down best oolong i've tried. The flavor is just... fantastic. And being able to re-steep and get that flavor again, only deeper, just justifies the purchase.

I was really disappointed with this tea. I'm an oolong lover, and looked forward to a new tea. But the cute rolled balls unfolded into two coarse leaves attached to a twig, and the flavor was more like cheap green tea than anything else. If this tea were inexpensive, I'd give it more slack, but for the price, it's really not very good.

I used to never drink tea, and I went by this tea place and they said to try this tea, I tried it, it was ok, but they said it was good for my arthritis pain, so I bought it. 2 days later, just minimal pain. I no longer take pain pills, and my quality of life has improved considerably. I now drink it every day. All my friends are asking me what happened to do such a quick change in health. Its the High Mountain Oolong tea. I will not go a day with out it now.

While I'm not a big Green Tea or Oolong Tea drinker, I prefer Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong, and a Darjeeling type teas with an occasional White Tea...I decided to give this Oolong a try as one of my re-entering teas to enjoy. It's reminiscent of a green tea but with different undertones. Its quite enjoyable while writing in the morning.

I couldn't taste the "creamy" texture as other enthusiasts have described,
but this tea has unique flavors as you steep it more than once.
I like using hotter water to get a stronger and fuller flavor from the first steep. Chocolate or small sweets accommodate the first steep very well (I dislike sweetening up the tea as a whole and prefer drinking it straight and bitter).
For the third steep, which is my favorite, I like to drink it while chewing on minty gum or having a few pieces of fresh mint handy. It brings out a really sweet flavor from the tea. (It tastes better to use cold water after the first steep and let it settle for a good 10 minutes before drinking).

I prefer straight rather than flavored teas. I'd pretty much given up on finding an oolong i even liked a little. To get the health benefits I have used the oolongs I have tried in flavored ice tea mixes. Then along came this. It's amazing. Perfectly balanced, light, with a very smooth finish and delicious after taste. Awesome with food and without. I rate this tea up with my favorites Silver Yin Zhen Pearls, Golden Monkey and Gyokuro. I am currently on my fourth steep of this oolong and each has been equally magnificent, surprising since i forgot the last one and left the leaves in way too long. It's still not bitter, but smooth and deeply flavorful. If you are on the fence with oolongs as I was--too flowery or too burnt tasting--then this is the oolong for you. Beautiful to look at as well.

If you are looking for a good straight Oolong tea, this is a good one to try. There are no added flavors coming from fruit and other distractors, just straight up good high quality tea flavor. To me, it has a little stronger flavor than the Monkey Picked. I drank this as a cold tea and have not tried it hot yet....Jake

Similar to Monkey Picked Oolong but with a fuller flavor. I have made up to four infusions with the same leaves. Very high quality and equal to the Monkey Picked at $3 cheaper. Best Oolong I have tried. Might seem a little pricey but if you get at least two cups from the same leaves it is worth it.
