Bought this tea on a recent trip to Boston, and went cheap and bought too little because of the price tag, which was a mistake that I regret (I live in Denmark; no Teavana stores this side of the Atlantic). This tea is uniquely aromatic, very spicy, without actually being very hot (in the spice sense, not temperature). If you have a cold (a very common condition in the typically cold and foggy winter of southern Scandinavia), this is pure medicine; a big cup, with a tea spoon of honey, does wonders to a sore throat. It may not be to everybody's taste, but it is without a shadow of doubt my favorite tea.

I was excited when I bought this tea after smelling it. It's so aromatic I thought it would be delicious all by itself! A little soy milk (I'm lactose intolerant) and a pinch of sugar, I thought, and this would be heaven. Well...not quite. It's still very good tea to blend with others in order to enhance a flavor or add spice, but by itself all I can taste is pepper, no undertones of oolong at all. I tried multiple ways of brewing it, trying to strengthen the flavor, but in the end, I only really enjoyed the spice after half a day of steeping. I will not buy this again, I would rather spend my money on teas that not only taste good blended with others, but teas that taste great by themselves.

I've been intrigued by the description and name of this tea for quite some time now. Since it is one of the more expensive teas I decided to order a cup in the store before purchasing. I'm glad I did because I did not really care for it. It tasted bitter and too peppery. The aftertaste was minty and did not seem to fit with the other flavors. Overall, I felt it was very strange tasting and will not be purchasing it. Teavana makes so many wonderful teas, but you can't win 'em all. Try before you buy!

If you let this steep too long you lose the spice balance and end up with pepper. If you don't stir as you drink, the pepper sinks and the last couple mouthfuls are peppery.
Be aware, 'natural flavors' aren't the healthies of things.
Given all that, this is a tasty, spicy drink that can cure the craving for a snack. I like it for a mid-afternoon treat when I want to eat something junky.

For a very long time I was almost exclusively a drinker of Darjeeling, enjoyed some flavored white or green teas. But never an oolong.. till now. This tea is simply the best I have ever enjoyed. The slight bite of ginger and overall zest of the spices make it an invigorating pleasure for all the senses. The spices add a lingering taste to the tea that makes it last beyond the cup. This is now the tea I gift to friends. And all have enjoyed it.
My only issue and a minor one is that the spices make it a heavy tea. So the 2oz package falls way short of the normal 25+ tsps, closer to 15 - 20 but still worth it. If brewed for a Thermos it does have to be brewed a bit weaker since its fine particles keep brewing longer than many teas.

So, everyone as a kid smelled vanilla extract and thought "wow, that smells amazing" tried it and was immediately sorry they did... That is this tea. I LOVE Teavana, but this tea is awful. It tastes artificial and like it's mixed with a mans' cologne. I threw mine away so I could reuse the tin.

This tea is full of favor and is very relaxing. There is just something oh-so-cozy about the cloves in this tea. Reminds me of a fall and winter drink. I will often snuggle under a blanket while drinking this tea to get warm fuzzy feeling. The pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg tones come through strong on this one resembling a spiced cider taste. I have also noticed that my portions sizes are SIGNIFICANTLY less since I have been drinking this tea.

The first sip took me by surprise, but as I continued drinking, I really enjoyed it. It reminds me a lot of the White Ayurvedic Chai because it's very peppery, but the French Quartet Spice is bolder and has a more unique flavor. For the next cup, I will probably try adding some milk or cream to mellow it out a little.

Went to pick up some tea and a thermos and came out with this. As a plain coffee drinker, I loved the intensity of the flavors, especially the cinnamon aftertaste. I would not recommend it to anyone that doesn't like heavy spices though.

This tea smells amazing, but the taste is overwhelming. There's no nuance to the flavor, it's just hot spices, and not in a good way. The only way to really enjoy this is to tone down the spiciness by mixing it with an unflavored black or oolong tea.
