I had gotten into the habit of drinking a cup of Utopian Jewel every morning when I woke up. It was the fresh, fruity kick I needed to start my day. I love oolongs, and I really appreciate the health benefits. When they discontinued Utopian Jewel, all I could hope for was a new tea that would make a worthy replacement, and this is the one! I would even argue that I like it a little more. The pear is subtle, but it's a fun twist. The added fruit packs a punch, but it doesn't totally overwhelm the oolong.

Good flavor, but...
This tea had good flavor, but there was something off about the scent. It just kind of smelled artificial. I think would have enjoyed this tea if it wasn't for that.

This tea is amazing!! I love the flavor I drink it every morning now. The only thing is I wish it had a slightly stronger pear taste. Thats the only reason whyi gave it a 4.

I'm a little obsessed with tea, and I own way too many from Teavana. But even against all my many tea experiences, this tea manages to rise above the rest as one of my personal favorites. It is delicious, well-rounded, smooth, and light. It has a rich pear and tropical taste that is perfectly balanced with the dry, floral, slightly nutty qualities of oolong. It is never bitter, and it helps calm me down. I'd recommend this tea as the perfect introduction to oolongs, and to loose leaf tea in general.

This was the 3rd Teavana tea I tried, and my favorite so far. I work in the mall so have started stopping in for a hot tea from time to time. I do like most fruit tea, but this one - while I definitely tasted the pear - also tasted like regular TEA as well, and not just hot fruit juice. Also I've noticed some flavors have unexpected hints of mint, etc. in them. This one does not. It was nice, simple and smooth. I'll definitely be ordering this one again.

This oolong has a good balance between fruit and tea. There's just enough vegetal taste that isn't overwhelmed by fruit. The pear taste is very light but it's just the right amount. The oolong is able to shine through.

I bought this tea because pear is my favorite kind of fruit and I wanted to try a few flavors of tea that I'd never tried before. This tea is delicious, smooth, and fruity. I found that if I didn't sweeten it, it was a tad too bitter, but that's what sugar is for! I recommend this tea to anyone who's looking to give fruity teas a chance.

I bought this as a gift with one of the cylinder tins. The recipient loved the taste and smell of the tea. I normally drink black teas with milk and sometimes find lighter teas to be too bland, but this one had a nice balance of flavor without being too fruity. Also, it didn't require any additional sweeteners - it was very drinkable on its own. I haven't tried it iced, but I can imagine it would be very good that way!

When I got this tea I was expecting a strong pear flavor but never got it. It smelled good and tasted good, but not enough of a pear taste for me. It just didn't live up to my expectations of it. I tried it hot and iced and enjoyed it hot better. If you use sweetener with this tea don't use anything artificial- honey or rock sugar is the way to go!

I ordered this tea from Teavana and just got the order yesterday. I literally just finished my first cup. It's a good tea. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so overwhelmingly fruity and tangy which is the only reason I gave it four Buddhas instead of five, as I'm not a huge fan of fruity tea. It would probably make an awesome iced tea. I think personally I would have liked a better balance between the oolong flavor and the fruity flavors.

It tastes like pear!!! But not in an in-your-face way, I love it. I prefer it iced because it's a little frou-frou fruity and great for summer, but I usually need a lot of tea and a lot of sugar when I brew this one. It's well worth it (and it's cheap, so I don't feel guilty using so much) and the flavor is so simple, authentic, and unique!
