I had a sample of this tea from a Teavana store, and actually went back the next day to buy it. The flavor is very distinct and memorable, which is good for people like me who want a bold taste. It sweetens the back of your tongue and leaves a refreshing taste in your mouth. The smell is exactly how the tea tastes, bold and interesting. It's got a level of spiciness, but in a very clean sort of way that's not over-powering. Since the flavor is so easy to pick up, the same leaves can be used for about three cups of tea. It's very good hot, but iced is even better, like drinking sweet tea that doesn't need any extra sugar. It's a great pick-me-up. When I'm babysitting, I use it in place of soda or sugary drinks for the kids, and they always enjoy it.
It generally takes a long time to come to full taste, so you could end up waiting a full ten minutes before it's up to code, and by then your tea may need to be heated again. However, I just have a peeve against bland teas.
I've never had a tea so captivating or interesting. It's my favorite so far, and it makes a good gift, because I can almost guarantee it's unlike anything you've had before.

A good version of chai! The fact that it's mate rather than black tea is very fun, and this gives it a subtly different taste.
It is spicy, and I do like spicy chai.
But it does kind of lack in other flavors though. With a traditional cup of chai, there are a lot of other flavors there, like ginger, nutmeg, vanilla, and even pepper in addition to the cinnamon; I really only taste cinnamon in this. The ingredients list for this tea includes things like pineapple, papaya, lemongrass, and even almond, none of which I can really taste at all.
All in all, it is quite tasty, and as long as I consider it a cinnamon mate, I am not as disappointed as I could be.

This is my favorite tea from teavana. I keep a tin of it at my desk at work. I teach, and when my students walk into my room they always say it smells so good! The tea is very aromatic, I walk around with it and people will ask me what I am drinking. It is very refreshing and energizing especially if you had some german rock sugar. Best for morning and mid afternoon lulls.

I first tried this tea in the in-store sample blended with the White Ayurvedic Chai, and I loved how it tasted so I bought a tin of each of the teas separately so I could see what they taste like unblended. This tea is definitely what gives the Chai/Chai blend its sweetness and fullness. While it's just a tiny bit spicy, almost all of the spice in that blend comes from the White Ayurvedic Chai, but it's still very good. However, this tea is extremely STRONG. I definitely recommend it with milk or something to mellow it out a little bit, especially if you're going to try to drink it quickly before leaving home or something - but I'm sure the strength will be really lovely on those cold winter mornings when you're really tired and want a warm jolt! I'm going to make sure I keep blending this with the White Ayurvedic Chai to tone down the strength, but I think it's still a really great tea and I'll always keep it on hand.

This tea is definitely my favorite amongst all the Mate teas. I'm a big chai fan, so naturally my morning pick-me-up would be a spicy sort of tea. This blended with White Ayurvedic has turned into a must-have daily ritual. Together the spices are strong, but not in an overpowering way. It keeps you awake and energized while leaving a pleasant warm spice taste lingering on your tongue long after you've finished your last cup.

I never was a tea drinker...I prefered iced coffee over tea anyday.Then one day shopping ,I passed a Teavanna store and they had samples.So I tried the White Ayurvedic Tea and this tea mixed,along with German Rock Sugar.I am now a tea lover.The flavor is so amazing.It's not like the bagged tea you buy at your local grocer.This is the real deal.One sip and you will know why.Plus this tea gives me the energy I need without feeling sick,like I get with my iced coffee.This is especially good on a cold day.I will never stop buying this tea.

The description called my attention since the beggining as I am a Martial Arts instructor...
This is definitively an option to kick the cofee out of your day with a more healthy and refinate solution.
I believe a touch of milk (I prefer soy's) enhances the flavor and gives it a mistic touch.
The only reason I would not give 5 (Teavana) logos is that the cinnamon aroma and flavor gets on top of the other spices, and only milk brings this to balance.
When you use glass infusers the tea is not very "clean" and the infuser may be hard to clean, I recommend tumbler infusers.

When I make this tea at the office, people are always saying how great it smells and comment that it would be a great air freshener flavor. Most importantly, it tastes even better than it smells. The 100% caffeine is a great jolt to any workday and the flavor is unbeatable. Citrus and cinnamon make a great combination in this tea.
