I love this tea first thing in the morning. It is very strong with a lot of caffeine, two things that I like about this tea. It has a great taste, and is both sweet and fragrant. I find that it is best served hot and is best when sweetened. I use stevia extract. It is easy to brew and does not get bitter if steeped for long periods.

I always loved the taste of coffee but for some reason it would always give me sour stomach, but I don't have to pass up on the coffee/chocolatey flavor anymore thanks to Matevana. This product is a great morning tea and mixes well with straight black teas (I mix mine with Copper Knot). It also taste great with cream, namely french vanilla or caramel flavored creams usually mixed with coffee. A fantastic morning tea!

I visited a TeaVana store and the guy at the counter really thought that mixing these two flavors would be awful and not only did he like it but the next time I went in to the store a different sales person actually suggested it as a new flavor combo!! AND it curbs your appetite with the slender tea!! Now I save the gas and have it autoshipped and never go without my morning pick me up!!

I am a huge coffee drinker, so when I went into Teavana looking for tea my requests were simple: I need caffeine in a nutty tea. I took this tea home, and fell in love. My mother, who isn't even much of a tea drinker, adores this tea. It's a must have!

I had to give up coffee cause it caused muscle inflammation so I tried this. I just drank once this morning and so far I really think its good. Although I will drink this just as a dessert or a treat for myself in the morning. Its got a smooth taste, I wish it was a bit more strong.I would definitely recommend people to at least try once.

I have been searching for a tea for morning- I like to have a strong tea with a bit of cream and sugar. After trying a few other blends, I finally found it in this tea. I LOVE the flavor. I dont really like coffee, never have, so I was a bit concerned with the description stating it has a coffee flavor. I do not find that at all in the flavor of the tea. I am experimenting with how strong I like it by using different amounts for brewing. I think I will try to mix this with a nice black tea, but really, on its own, its very enjoyable. The flavor is deep and rich without being bitter. I purchased a small amount to try, but once I run out I am definitely getting a large stock of this to have on hand.

Reading through the online reviews, I wanted a cheaper tea as I shop at Teavana WAY too much (currently have about 11 different teas in my cabinet). My Morning Mate (MMM) ran out and read that this MateVana (MV)was better than the MMM. WRONG! MV has nothing over MMM. Quite disappointed to have bought this as even though this is very smooth in comparison to MMM, it's flat... really flat chocolate. I tend to mix this one in the morning with Honeybush Vanilla, and still not that happy with it.

Pros about MV over MMM is that if you steep it longer than 5 min it doesn't get bitter... still stays quite smooth, so you can easily mix a more bitter tea (Earl Gray Creme) with it and it will mask the bitterness from oversteeping if that does so happen.

Cons about MV over MMM is that it doesn't have a dynamic pallet to it like the MMM. Don't try to save $1.00, just buy the MMM.

MateVana is a staple in my tea treasure chest! I have been a loyal Teavana customer for almost two years and I cannot get enough of the MateVana! I will sweeten it up with the black sage honey or the german rock sugar. Great flavor. I look forward to either my morning cup of MateVana or Golden Monkey.

Brew this according to directions, add a little fresh cream and it is one of the most soothing, smooth morning beverages I have had the pleasure of experiencing. I will definitely make sure this is in my cabinet all the time.
