When I opened the package all I could smell was wonderful coaco But smelling it in my cup it had a strange aromia.
It's very good but would not give as a gift because it is very differant, I can see where either you like or you would hete it.
I think I'll add it to my chi also Java Mate. I did add more tea and longer infusion time.
Enjoy!

I'm new to tea and have never been a spice tea fan, but this tea is awesome. I drink it in place of my morning coffee at work. I let it steep the full 6 minutes and add a tiny bit of sugar.

I recommend using a spice or burr grinder to get the full flavor from this tea right before brewing. It has a nice spice flavor that is great for sipping during winter time.

I tried this tea alone and then I also brewed it with matevana and the chai blend and it was fabulous in all cases!

This tea is fantastic. Definitely a tea to love if you enjoy chocolate and pepper together. The cardamom is also a nice touch. I feel like I'm at a spice market when I drink this tea - totally transported to my own little world.

This is one of my favorite Teavana teas so far. I definitely do not like sweet or particularly fruity teas; before I began trying Teavana tea I liked straight, strong black tea. Now I am trying to branch out and I love the smooth taste of this tea with its mild, spicy finish. I find this tea is great unsweetened but also good with a bit of honey in it.

This tea....this tea right here, is simply amazing. Whether you drink it alone or with some rock sugar, it is just the best thing I have ever tasted in a cup. Move aside hot chocolate, because this tea will rock your world (even more so with the "rock" sugar)! I shared some with my friend who also thought the concept of chocolate in a tea was weird, but she loved it too. The rich flavor has the chocolate as advertised, along with a gingery-spiciness to it. I plan on buying this tea regularly!

This tea has tastes a little bit like a flavored coffee. I love the chocolate and cinnamon flavors mingled with the chicory. I add a little sweetener and sometimes some powdered creamer. Yum--what a treat!

I saw this was on sale and, being a fan of anything chocolate, decided to buy 8oz to split with my mother in law. I waited anxiously for it to arrive in the mail and brewed a cup immediately after delivery. I was amazed. It smelled like chocolate, but tasted kind of like a weak chai. I was in love. This is one of my all time favorites.

Certainly a tea that would have been passed over due to smell. I purchased this tea because it was 75% off, and for [$] I could get quite a bit. The chocolate aspect in this is incredibly prominent, but not in a way that is entirely unpleasant. Certainly not the amount of spice I was looking for, but it makes up for it with a warm, almost woodsy kind of decadence. Perfect for those afternoons walking through the autumn woods, or sitting outside watching the leaves fall.
