Description

Gorgeous feather headdresses, exquisite turquoise jewels and the famed Latin cocoa and spicy chilies were all used as money to satisfy Aztecan nobility. This tea is a drink worthy of the gods with the taste of hand-dipped chocolate- covered strawberries emboldened with a kick of chilies that summon the Aztecs' favorite luxuries. Each sip is as decadent as the last in this tasty chocolaty treat.SUPERFRUIT ENHANCED

My first time trying it I wasn't impressed. This I owe to the fact that I didn't use the right tea strainer.

My second time around (today) I used the right tea strainer so it held a little more fruit & didn't have the tiny tea particles in my drink. The flavor was INCREDIBLE this time around. I also added a small amount of the German rock sugar & a little bit of milk which paired together nicely. Plus, I could actually taste the chocolate which was a nice change from other "chocolate" tea's. This "normal" cup of tea all of a sudden became a new experience to me. Its my liquid gold. Above all tea's I've ever tasted, this ranks number 1.

My only suggestion in order to really enjoy it would be to bring the water to an almost rolling boil & let it sit for a little longer then what the package recommends for brewing time, or else the spiciness from the chilies just isn't there.

Teavana has not responded this any customer requests to post approximate calorie count for this tea - yet it has chocolate pieces in it - a lot. For tea-drinkers on restricted calorie diets (for whatever reason - diabetes, weight, other illnesses or just plain health interest), the difference between a 5-calorie tea and 50-calorie tea is significant.

The question is all over the web but no one knows the answer.

I use this as a substitute for hot chocolate. I don't drink coffee or tea with caffiene, but this is a great tea. I feel great drinking it and have lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks with the substitution. I don't feel deprived and look forward to each cup!

I tried it by itself at first, and while i enjoyed the flavor, it was disappointingly weak, and not at all "fire"y. I then blended it equall parts with Java vana and loved it

I love this tea.It blends so well with almost any fruity tea as well as with more pure base teas and is great in any strength level.
Blending this with Sakura Allure is truly a treat for your palate.
I recommend this to anyone who even slightly likes chocolate.
All in all there is only one thing i would change about Azteca Fire and that is the chili spice levels. While it is noticeable in the finish,it is almost undetectable in lower strengths.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:

This is the first tea that I tried from teavana, but didn't like. I decided to try it again today, and I have changed my mind.

This tea is certainly different. It must be brewed correctly (with a little less than a teaspoon of German Rock Sugar, HOT water, and the full 5-6 minute steep time).

It is so close to being a full bodied tea, I imagine if you blended it with a good black tea and added a little milk, it'd be a heavenly creamy drink.

The tea itself smells incredible, but the chocolate is the most prevalent flavor (not sweet chocolate, hence the sugar needed), and I've found the tea needs to stay hot in order for the texture to stay together, the chocolate seems to want to separate from the tea if it is not.

I will drink this again, it's very different from other teas, but if you drop your expectations, it's not bad.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:

When I first ordered this tea, I saw that a lot of people complained about the weakness of it, so I know what I was getting into. The first few times I made it, I just played around with the amount and the steeping time and I find that if you use a little extra tea and steep it a LONG time- 20-25 minutes, it's perfect. The spiciness comes out but you can still taste the chocolate and a fruity hint of strawberry. So delicious.

      This is a great tea.
I can definitely taste the chocolate, and then a hint of fruit, followed by the warming chili.

It might be weak for some people, so I suggest mixing a little into your favorite Teavana Chai. I mixed this in with the Maharaja Oolong Chai and it was a fantastic warm treat on a cold day!

This tea smelled great in the shop and I had high hopes for it. Since the Cacao Mint is one of my favorites, I thought the chocolate with chili pepper spice would be great. However, unlike the name implies, the chilis don't have a "fire" spiciness. You only notice them in an acidy aftertaste. The chocolate also doesn't mix well, it's like weak cocoa.

This was my first tea from Teavana and I haven't been disappointed. The name is what attracted me to it and the smell was incredible. There is a nice chocolate flavor and a little bit of spice.

I've started drinking this in the evenings in place of ice cream or cookies. It's a wonderful treat when I'm trying to be a little more health conscious.

I use a little more than recommended and this is one of the few teas I add sugar to. I really enjoy it with 2 heaping tsp of tea and 1 tsp of rock sugar or natural sugar.

Although I would like it a little spicier, many would enjoy it.
