Here's the truth: This tea is an under-appreciated gem.
Anyone who complains about it being bitter or not being able to get the flavor out of it must be doing it wrong. The right temperature and the right steep time (REALLY, just ONE minute) will get this tea to sing for you all year long.
It is possible to get a weak or bitter blend but that's not the fault of the tea, that is the tea preparer not working with it the way it needs to be. Teas are like people: You can't just force them to perform for you. You need to work with them the right way to get the most out of them.
This tea is amazing for the price but it is not one for beginners. It is not easy to get just right and it does no provide a second steep at all from what I've tried but that shouldn't be a problem for such an economical blend after all. it also mixes with other teas amazingly well. Ironically, silver needle and silver yin zhen pearls make a great combination if you don't mind steeping two different pots of teas separately and then mixing afterwords. Maybe I'm a little crazy for trying it but it was just magic when it happened. I had two emptying pots and a spirit for adventure. Mixed them both and found a gift from God. Amazing tea with amazing quality and potential if you are willing to work with it and discover how good it really is.

As peppermint has always been, and will always be, my favorite tea (no matter how well-developed I continue to grow in my knowledge/experience with tea), I tried this on a store associate's suggestion.
Oh, how I wish I had never listened.
The first cup I gagged down; it tasted like cigarette water. Like the disgusting aftertaste of a cheap menthol cigarette.
I again tried to blend it with peppermint, as the associate swore she loved because she "really loves mint."
Well, I really love mint, so maybe this would work.
NO.
It simply tainted the peppermint and left me again with that same weird, bitter aftertaste.
I warned a coworker, but she decided to try it for herself.
No surprise; she feels she wasted money on the 2 oz. she bought, because she immediately threw it out.
If you like mint, PLEASE GO FOR PEPPERMINT INSTEAD!!!
I love all mint, spearmint perhaps even more, but this was a total letdown and has so far been the only Teavana tea I've disliked this strongly!

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
I love this tea except for the debris that gets everywhere in your glass. Paper filters are an easy fix for that so it's not a huge problem. I wish there was a bit more mint in it, but its's becoming a staple in my collection. It is amazing chilled with sugar (cuts any bitterness, if your water was too hot).

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
I drink tea and/or coffee all day long. My favorite green tea from Teavana so far is the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls, but I wanted a green tea that was more inexpensive to help keep up with my habit so after having a look at teas on the website I decided that Moroccan mint would be the one I would try.
Green tea has always been hit or miss with me. Typically find it to be too vegetal, or to get bitter too easily. However I'm a big fan of spearmint so that sold it too me. I decided to try it in the store before buying any in case I did not care for it.
Sure enough the brewista over brewed, and it was bitter. However I didn't consider to be bad otherwise so I decided to take two ounces home with me. Fortunately I have found it to be far more forgiving with me then it was with her. I haven't had a bitter cup of this out of my own kitchen yet.
The flavor of he actual green tea that is used is rather smokey. I'm not sure if I would care for it by itself, but the mint mellows it nicely. Also, despite it being a lower end tea, I find that it rebrews at least three times. I typically do not sweeten green tea since I don't think that it benefits from this, but sugar does improve the flavor of this particular tea.
My only major complaint is that the leaves are rather small, and hard to strain.I typically just put the tea straight into the pot, or use a tea ball, but if I start to drink it regularly I think that I'll need to use paper filters.

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
As part of a Gift, the Girlfriend gave me a small tin of this tea. It was very Aromatic in the tin and I was not dissapointed when it was brewed. It is a nice balance of Tea and Mint without either being overpowering. If you are looking for big Mint/Spearmint flavor, get a Herbal Mint tea, as this tea is about the forementioned balance.
It is a bit touchy though. I brew mine at around 175F as I like the flavor that produces, if you want smoother, I suggest you brew around 160F. Watch your temp carefully as water in the 180F and above area will turn this tea bitter. I steep my tea for 2 mins; again, if you want a less pronouced flavor, steep from 1 min to 1:30. Again, watch the time-over 2 min and you will get bitter.
I have ran a second steeping, and it worked just fine. The flavors smooth out more and are really not all that bad.
I am going to make it into ice tea this summer, which I think will be excellent.
Plus the price of this tea can't be beat. Basically, it is $2.25/oz, which is a bargin for how good this tea is.

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
Firstly, we have this tea because my girlfriend is in love with mint teas. She LOVES it. Me, not so much. But I do like this tea quite a bit. Additionally, this works really well as a mixer. It works so well with such a wide range of flavored and core teas. Just use a separate infuser, due to the short brew time. I can't even list all of the combinations that have been made better with this tea. Today however, I tried the prep method left by dalahäst. It's delicious! Another reason to like this tea...
Get this tea if you like to mix teas, or if you want a mild minty delight.

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
I reviewed ths tea and wrote about how bitter it was... Then I realized the error of my ways. I was steeping this ,1.5tsp/8oz for 1 min with near boiling water for 1 minute. I do not have a water thermometer. I found it unpalatable and bitter.
Gunpowder tea should be steeped around 140-150 deg F. I was using water around 210F. If you find this to be bitter, do this: pour the not-quite-boling water into the cup/pot. Let it sit for 5-6 min, THEN add .5tsp tea /8 ozand steep 1 min. This produces a brew that's minty and actually a bit sweet. I will be reordering this, now that I know how to make it!

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
After spending a summer with a host family who grew mint leaves in their yard and drinking mint tea nearly every day for five weeks, I knew that I had to buy some for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this tea tasted almost identical to their home grown version, and was reasonably priced. I find that I can resteep this tea 2-3 times at most, and it mixes quite well with many of the teas available at Teavana.

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:
The tea is good but it is weaker than I expected. The Moroccan tea that I know and love is stronger than this but it is a good substitute.
Today, I mixed this with the Earl Grey Cream and it turned out good.
16-18oz cup: 2 scoops of the Earl Grey Creme and 1 scoop of the Moroccan Mint tea with cream and sugar. For me this tea would be better to drink at night.

this is an amazing tea smells great. great price and you get so much for the price. when i buy this tea i always get 3oz and mix it with 2oz of honeybush vanilla the combo of mint and vanilla is one of the best. but like most mint teas not everyone is a mint tea drinking it is only for a slight few my girlfriend hates it. oh and by the way if you like peppermint this is not peppermint tea. mint and peppermint tea have two very distinct taste with a few of the same tones.
