Here's the truth: This tea is an under-appreciated gem.

Anyone who complains about it being bitter or not being able to get the flavor out of it must be doing it wrong. The right temperature and the right steep time (REALLY, just ONE minute) will get this tea to sing for you all year long.

It is possible to get a weak or bitter blend but that's not the fault of the tea, that is the tea preparer not working with it the way it needs to be. Teas are like people: You can't just force them to perform for you. You need to work with them the right way to get the most out of them.

This tea is amazing for the price but it is not one for beginners. It is not easy to get just right and it does no provide a second steep at all from what I've tried but that shouldn't be a problem for such an economical blend after all. it also mixes with other teas amazingly well. Ironically, silver needle and silver yin zhen pearls make a great combination if you don't mind steeping two different pots of teas separately and then mixing afterwords. Maybe I'm a little crazy for trying it but it was just magic when it happened. I had two emptying pots and a spirit for adventure. Mixed them both and found a gift from God. Amazing tea with amazing quality and potential if you are willing to work with it and discover how good it really is.

As peppermint has always been, and will always be, my favorite tea (no matter how well-developed I continue to grow in my knowledge/experience with tea), I tried this on a store associate's suggestion.

Oh, how I wish I had never listened.

The first cup I gagged down; it tasted like cigarette water. Like the disgusting aftertaste of a cheap menthol cigarette.

I again tried to blend it with peppermint, as the associate swore she loved because she "really loves mint."

Well, I really love mint, so maybe this would work.

NO.

It simply tainted the peppermint and left me again with that same weird, bitter aftertaste.

I warned a coworker, but she decided to try it for herself.

No surprise; she feels she wasted money on the 2 oz. she bought, because she immediately threw it out.

If you like mint, PLEASE GO FOR PEPPERMINT INSTEAD!!!

I love all mint, spearmint perhaps even more, but this was a total letdown and has so far been the only Teavana tea I've disliked this strongly!

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:

This is a really great mint tea. I have used herbal mint teas in the past and didn't really care for them but I find that mint tea can soothe my stomach. The Moroccan Mint tea has more to it than the herbal mint teas. I highly recommend this tea.

I like mint tea. But not this one.
I tried to use this one over and over, thinking I should and could like it. I tried several ways to brew it and just couldn't get it to my liking. I also adjusted the amount of sugar I put in and that didn't work either.

This tea, as with most green teas, is hard to get right, but it's one of the best green teas I've tried, which is incredible considering how cheap it is. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes green tea. My only criticism is that I would enjoy it if there were more mint, as its presence tends to be underwhelming.

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:

I have always enjoyed the teas that I get from this company although I have found teas I will not buy again, but this tea NEEDS to be removed from the selection before Teavana gets a bad name for offering the worst tasting tea know to man kind! The tea dose not have a green tea taste and the mint is so lite that calling it mint is tea is laughable at the least.

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:

I have always loved Moroccan Mint tea. Teavana's is offered at a good price, but that is the only nice thing I can bring myself to say about it. I choked down half of my cup before finally deciding it tastes remarkably like a wet menthol cigarette. This is quite possibly the worst gunpowder tea I've ever tasted. It had none of the usual charm of this tea. While Teavana usually offers teas that I enjoy, this is one I will stick to blending myself.

                Refreshing tea

Comments about Teavana Moroccan Mint Flavored Green Tea:

I bought this at the store then read the reviews online when I got home and was a little nervous. I brewed it as one reviewer suggested, 165* water for a minute and a half. It is very light and refreshing, not at all bitter. I added a little honey and really enjoyed it. I will agree that the mint flavor barely comes through, which is what I was hoping for. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

I wouldn't have this every day, but its a decent standby tea if I want an afternoon pick-me-up. It has a fair balance of minty vs. tea flavor if I don't over steep it since it tends to go bitter. I understand those reviewers saying the minty taste is weak. For a purely mint flavor I would go with something else.
