I thought I had been picky about green teas before I started my Teavana venture, but I was wrong. This tea easily shot down any other brands I had previously been attached to. This is the one I crave all the time now. It's great at any time of the day, and was a great help for relaxation during the worst two weeks of sickness. It's very smooth and light, and a definite keeper in my collection. :)

I was very pleased with this tea.
It has a very smooth, pure and clean taste as well as a pleasantly light body and aroma. The only thing keeping this tea from 4 stars is that it is very weak and not very good for multiple steeps
Over all a nice addition to the collection.

I am still a novice in the tea world, but I'm doing my best to try many loose-leaf teas of all types and make blends as well. I have a standby white tea in Silver Needle (+blends of herbal or rooibos) and now I'm moving through the others. I like delicate teas without sweetener and definitely with health benefits. I use the Joli Mug to brew and drink my teas.
This is my first leaf green tea and honestly I don't think I need to look any further.
When I talked to the Tea specialist about picking a good intro green I described what I was looking for and what I was not looking for: something overly-vegetal (which is what I have read in the reviews about Gyokuro.) She recommended this one straight off the bat. When brewed EXACTLY like it says (I pour the hot water over an ice cube in my cup) its not bitter in the slightest and has a pleasantly almost-sweet aftertaste. The brewed tea does look like only slightly tinted water, but the flavor is there (and the health benefits, too!)
I drink this tea in the afternoons for a little pick me up and to help digest lunch without getting slow and groggy. It's expensive, but since you can get about 5 cups out of the recommended dosage of tea it evens out in the end. I tried blending it with an herbal and a rooibos but they overpowered the green too much and I genuinely enjoy that flavor. I don't plan on blending it again.

Really, really good. Very subtle flavor, likely you will steep a second pot immediately.

This tea came highly recommended over the flavored green teas. The gentleman at the store was straightforward and said this tea was on par with the Gyrokuro Imperial, a tea which I love. So I tried it as soon as I got home and followed recommended water temp and time and it tasted like hot water. So I brewed it longer and that didn't seem to help. The next time I tried more tea leaves and that improved the flavor. This tea doesn't taste bad at all, it just seems too weak. I would highly recommend the Gyrokuro Imperial over Huang Shan Mao Feng Reserve for a good non-flavored green tea.

This tea has a magically smooth light green taste that is great on its own or mixed with any other tea. It is extremely versatile and even on its own a second steep was just as tasty as the first imparting some additional flavors not found on the first steep. This is truly an interesting and tasty tea worth tasting at least once in your lifetime.

When steeped, this one looks like lightly tinted water. You think you are not going to taste anything, but you do. It has the taste of matcha without the thickness to it. Nice to add to any other tea to get the green tea benifits.....Jake
