Emperor's Clouds and Mist Green Tea

After reading about this tea on this site I added it to my wish list to try. I happened to be at the mall and stopped into the Teavana store. This was one of the green teas I asked to smell and once I did I decided to buy it. It smells very much like a good green tea should, and after having a brewed cup, it tastes exactly like a green tea should. I don't taste the smoky beginning, but the sweetness and green finish is there. My favorite green tea is Jasmine, however, I sometimes enjoy an unscented pure green tea, and this one is perfect!

I am currently sipping on my first cup of this tea, and it is absolutely splendid. I am not usually a green tea drinker, as I prefer the fruity flavor of white and oolong teas. HOWEVER, this tea has changed my perspective on how great green tea can taste. It is very relaxing and has a unique, fresh, and crisp flavor that is simply divine. Not to mention the health benefits, I could drink this all day everyday.

Let me start by saying I am a tea drinker. Never liked coffee. Before I knew of teavana my tea was just plain boxed tea from the grocery store. I did not touch flavored tea at all. I was at the mall one day and walked by this store and got a big whif of cinnamon and I knew it was tea. See I had been trying to find this green tea like I bought at this cafe' before they closed. I have been a teavana gal ever since. I have tried several different straight green teas. Some were either to bitter, to vegetal or just awful. I just got this tea yesterday and it is truly by far the best one. This well be the green tea I stick with.

This is definitely one of my favorite teas. I've been looking a long time for a green tea that matched that soft, light flavor I've had in Japanese restaurants and this is most definitely it. The flavors are very subtle and natural and it tastes a lot less vegetal than it smells. This tea is at its best if you can drink it while it's still very hot.

On a side note, if you're looking for a bold tasting green tea, this definitely isn't it (my friend likes the perfumey Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls and hates this tea).

I can comfortably get 3 brews out of 1-1/2 to 2 tbsp of this from the 16oz Teavana Teamaker without losing flavor. Overall a great buy, even for the steep price tag.

I've always loved green tea and could never find a store brand tea that tasted "authentic". This tea is very smooth, not too earthy and after steeping it for 2 minutes, It's still not even bitter. The aftertaste is wonderful and It's surprisingly calming. (I'm typing this AS I'm trying my first cup)

If you like green teas, this is a high quality and.. I'd say good enough to where I won't need to go searching for more expensive teas that Teavana sells. (Though I would love to bring those home too.)

I am not normally much of a green tea fan but when I smelled this one in the store I had to try it. This one is so aromatic and I really do enjoy it. I think I have found the green tea for me and this one has become one of my faves...I highly recommend this as it is unique and high quality.

It's the most unique and distinct green tea I've had the pleasure of drinking yet. Yes, it does have the green tea base, but the flavor is so much more refined than its counterparts. Love the name. Love the aromatic smell. Love the flavor. Love it all!

This tea is brilliant, from the moment I opened the bag on Christmas morning and gave it a wiff, I've been excited about this tea. I love my teas strong, so I often steep this for much longer then suggested, but it works well with this tea. It's equally good at the recommended prep time though as I was simply pleased either way. If you've ever been discouraged by a green tea, this will bring your faith back immediately.

I love this tea. I can't get enough of it. I drink a few cups every day. One thing I must mention it is crucial not to over steep this tea in particular. It becomes very very bitter if you do. I did it once on a busy morning. Give your tea the love it deserves.

This is probably the best green tea offered by teavana. It's my new favorite, after the discontinuation of Iron Buddha. Please bring back Iron Buddha!!!!
