This is a terrific Pu-erh blend and should be considered as such. I'm surprised at the overwhelming number of reviewers who expected to "not" taste what makes Pu-Erh distinctive: a very earthy, malty quality that comes from being aged. Don't buy this tea if you're expecting it to taste like strawberry-infused black. It's much more exotic than regular black tea. But for people who are considering trying a Pu-Erh and may not want to take that step of sipping it as-is, this is an excellent blend to introduce yourself to Pu-Erh. My absolute Teavana favorite, the quality is consistant throughout multiple steeps, and is a hearty "morning" and "evening" refresher. Also does well iced, as it tends to be a strong, dark brew. Great tea for people who also enjoy the nuances of coffees. Pu-Erh is like wine - it has different qualities depending on how long it's aged.

Honestly I thought this was the worst tea ever...before I started blending it. It's become one of my favorites for mixing, but I cannot tolerate it on its own. I mix it for a great hot tea with:
1tsp Mate Lemon Blast
1tsp Tung Ting Jade Oolong
1tsp Rooibos Peach Bloom
1tsp Strawberry Slender Pu-Erh
Steep for 3 minutes -- you can rebrew this mix once more, but sometimes it gets a bit bitter.
Also try mixing it with a 1-1 ratio with Rooibos Lemon Twist. The tea definitely works, but it does not tickle my fancy all on its own. It's ESPECIALLY important not to steep it more than 3 minutes; it's so strong.

I chose this tea because I like a sweeter tea but I didn't want to put in a lot of sugar. I also do like the flavor of strawberry so I thought it woudl be a good combination. The taste of the tea is very nice, but I find that a lot of the taste comes from the aroma of the tea that you smell while you are drinking the tea. I found this tea's aroma to be a complete turn-off. The tea smells so overly sweet that everytime I went to go take a sip I was sickened like I was about drink pure syrup. Dont get me wrong the tea does not taste sweet, it tastes good. It just SMELLS extremely sweet.

When you get a whiff of this tea, its super strength aroma might turn you off. Don't let that stop you from trying this tea! It's much more subtle once it's brewed (although still a plenty strong brew). The strawberry flavor is very fresh, and I couldn't help but be reminded of summer strawberry season.

I drink this hot with a little rock sugar first thing in the morning and then re-brew the tea(3-4x)to fill up a pitcher for iced tea. It never gets bitter and the multiple infusions make this tea a great value for the price. This is by far my favorite tea and I love it.

I started drinking the Strawberry Pu-Erh after the regular Pu-Erh was discontinued, which I really miss. I can still get the fullness of the Pu-Erh earthy flavor enhanced with the strawberry flavor. Great tast!

This tea is so delicious that it's one of the only teas that everyone in my (very diverse) family loves. It's a very special tea in that it's equally delicious hot or cold, and it doesn't go bitter no longer how long you steep it for.
I have read that pu-erh is considered a "diet tea" because it helps the body digest the fats you take in. That's why Chinese people often drink it with a fatty meal such as dim sum. I don't know if it works or not, but I drink it with my meals anyway and I can't help but think that it contributes to my having such a trim figure.
The price is also VERY reasonable. I drink a pot (or more!) of this a day and I often often give it as a gift to family and friends, so I love that it's an affordable luxury.

As a tea lover, I was given this tea as a gift after I had mentioned my interest in trying it. I love pu-erh and thought the combination would be wonderful. When I opened the canister I was overwhelmed with a thickly sweet strawberry aroma. I thought it smelled great, but could also see how the candy-like smell could put off others who like the earthiness of pu-erh. While steeping the aroma only got stronger and I was worried that I would be practically drinking strawberry syrup, but much to my surprise the flavor was quite tame. The earthiness of the pu-erh was the dominant flavor, and the strawberries only added a hint of sweetness and flavor to the tea. It was the perfect balance. It is definitely one of my new favorites.
