Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

I love English Breakfast teas. I have had both actual teas from Europe and plain American supermarket teas. Twinings bag teas are better than this. All I got was a twig flavor. The sales girls pushed the 16 oz. 10% discount for this cheap tea and now I have two tins of yuck.
I admit I should have asked for a tasting first. However, I was already getting a cup of the JavaVana Mate Tea brewed.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

This is a poor replacement for Tazo Awake Tea.
It lacks the distinct taste that Awake has.
It is too weak and doesn't have the flavor of Awake.

This is truly delicious tea! I use it with milk, which gives me the morning brew that I'm looking for!

      P. S. Can you bring back the Assam tea (Assam Gold Rain) that you discontinued? It was PHENOMENAL!

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

I thought this was really good tea. It doesn't have that much of a flavor, but yet again I always drink white teas with loads of flavor, however the flavor that I did taste was very good. Overall a pretty good tea that I would get again.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

After being a lipton drinker for most of my life, this is a welcome addition. For the not so special times, everyday use, i find this "regular" tea perfect. This my all the time, hot or cold, tea, which now has totally replaced my coffee habit. Yes, if steeped at too high a temp or for too long, the bitterness will be present. A bit of experimenting is helpful. I also find, purified filtered water, with all teas, makes all the diference. Those on here that don't like this tea, should take a look at their water source, just saying....

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

This tea has a very weak flavor. The recommendation is 1-1.5 tsp per 8 oz cup. I made the first cup per these recommendations (1.5 tsp with 200° water and steeped for 3 minutes) and the result was a very very mild tea flavor. For the second cup I doubled this to 1 Tbsp and it was marginally better. If you like a strong tea stay away from this one.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

To the people who say this tea is bitter, your right! thats IF you steep it over 2 1/2 minutes. I only steep for 5 minutes after the initial brewing. I even use it a 3rd time when making ice tea but i don't brew over 10 minutes.

I stopped drinking coffee every morning a few years ago and wanted something that still had a strong tea flavor. This was my ultimate choice after sampling quite a few different varieties of English breakFast tea. From Chinese, Indian, Irish, even Middle eastern, i really liked the 3 full leaves that make up this tea.

If you dont over brew you'll be fine. If you do, just throw it out and start again.

It wakes me up, before I go-go (had to be typed). My usual morning habit is to blend this traditional breakfast flavor with fruity teas lacking caffeine and presto I'm ready for the day. At its virginal state, alone or blended, this pairs well with my toasted whole wheat and speculoos spread combo.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

You get what you pay for. The only reason I bought this is because I wanted to make some cheap iced tea to take to work with me and didn't need it to be anything fancy. What I got was something that was bitter to the point of being unable to taste the underlying flavor and such high tannins it was hard not to pucker after each sip. I am a big Teavana fan, but I will be skipping this one in the future. Spend a little more money-get something good and you won't regret it. Unless your tastebuds just can't tell a difference, in which case lucky you.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:

This is my "go to" tea as I've been a black tea drinker all my life. This is an excellent blend, not the best I've had in my lifetime but for the price you cannot beat it.

I use almost 2 teaspoons for 12oz, I do like my tea strong but I do not like it bitter. I steep it for 3 minutes with a little over 1 teaspoon of the rock sugar and it's perfect. And yes, the rock sugar makes a big difference in the taste of this tea as opposed to white or raw sugar. Beware, steeping over 3 minutes or trying to use these leaves a second time will give you a bitter tea.

Since I drink tea almost all day, I tend to cut myself off of the English Breakfast toward the late afternoon as the caffeine is so much higher in the blacks than other teas.
