This has got to be one of the most superb teas I have ever tried, and it is so inexpensive! I like my tea REALLY strong (must be the European in me...), and this is probably the best robust tea I've found. Be sure not to steep it for longer than 3 minutes, as it can get slightly bitter. I also recommend adding a small scoop of the German rock sugar to make the tea's flavor come out even more. Also, being a college student myself, this tea gets me going in the morning before class and it doesn't kill my wallet.

For a breakfast tea, although it fits the bill, it doesn't have the same pop as Irish Breakfast. This tea is like the "shake-n-bake" of black teas. It sustains life, but there is nothing special about it.

not particularly aromatic nor flavourful...will try again in a few weeks after I am over my virus...tea is one of my treatments when I feel sick and this tea doesn't do it for me.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
This tea is the very first tea I've tried (I got it for a Christmas Preasent,) but absolutly not my last. To this day since then, this is still my favorite tea out of the many I've tried.
This tea is best with just a few peices of German Rock sugar, only about 3 or so, and a touch of milk. For my 20 oz pot, I typically will use 3 tea spoons of tea, 9 peices or rock sugar, and a tad of milk, maybe honey.
If your looking for a tea to mix with other teas, I have found that this blends extremely well with Honeybush Vanilla Herbal tea. It gives it a very unique flavor profile and an interesting kick for a jump start to the mornings. :)

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
I am a big fan of English Breakfast teas and have been drinking them since I was a small child. This tea, unfortunately, did not live up to my expectations. It was rather weak by comparison to others I've had and tasted a bit off. I am glad I didn't buy it in bulk. I will continue to shop for my other teas at Teavana, but I will be finding my English Breakfast elsewhere.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
The tea hasn't changed. Perhaps there was an odd season, but it's always been consistent for me. This tea is wonderful as a daily drinker. It's rather unique, almost pu-erh ish in having a slightly woody, slightly sweet taste. I've tried the highest quality stuff teavana has, and I can notice the quality when tasted side by side, but for the price, this stuff just can't be beat, and at this price, us poor tea enthusiasts can still have something nice every day. It's miles above most black teas and miles below their cost.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
I probably shouldn't have tried this after I had been drinking a lot of Black Dragon Pearl tea. This tastes like plain boiled water by comparison. I tried using more tea which helped some. I also tried brewing it longer and it just got bitter. I admit I haven't had a lot of "Breakfast" teas so what I like may not fall into that category. I drank this but won't order it again.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
I think this tea is fantastic. I have tried many English and Irish breakfast teas and this one is great. I am confused with those who think it is cheap. I think it has the malty and citrusy flavor associated with high quality black tea. You do have to watch your brew time,as the tannin qualities will kill the flavor if over-seeped. I really enjoy this tea, especially on a cool Fall night.

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
Let me start by saying that I have no hate towards the product at all. English Breakfast is actually one of my all time favorite flavors of tea. I don't know why my English Breakfast iced tea turned out so flat and flavorless. I do have to mention that as many times as I've made iced tea, this was my first time making black tea. I usually make green or white. So I really didn't know what I was doing. Maybe I should've steeped it longer. I steeped it for 2 1/2 minutes and it just tasted like artificially flavored water with a light body. But nomatter what, I will always love English Breakfast tea. I just think I should leave making English Breakfast iced tea to the professionals!

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
The only reason why this tea is considered bad is because it's cheaper than the other black teas. I love Ceylon teas and this is my favorite of them all. You really can only get 2-3 infusions with this tea, while Golden Monkey can get 5-6 infusions. And this tea has a malty/honey overtone while Golden Monkey has a chocolate overtone.
I recommend this tea for some one who is just starting loose leaf teas since if he/she messes up on making it he/she won't feel so wasteful.
It's perfect for Japanese Royal Milk Tea! Add warm milk, honey and sugar and it tastes delicious!

Comments about Teavana English Breakfast (High Grown) Black Tea:
This tea has changed. I have been buying bulk 2lb bricks of English Breakfast from one of the local Teavanas for the last 18 months. The last one I bought is definitely not the same. First clue, packaging changed. Next I noticed the dried tea leaves look different, they are longer and less spiraled and twisted. Finally, the taste is off. Much stronger malty flavor though overall weak in flavor. I'm extremely disappointed that I spent $60+ on tea that I can barely tolerate drinking. If this trend continues, it threatens my patronage there.
