Don't let the price fool you. This tea has the perfect blend of Aroma & Flavor. I find that infusing it 2 minutes the 1st time, 2.5mins the 2nd & 3mins the 3rd time makes for the best taste. Yes, you can reinfuse this wonderful tea at least 3 times & retain the flavor in each pot! I may be willing to pay more for good quality, but I love getting my money's worth. After many years enjoying various teas this is my all time favorite!

This is one of my favorite straight black teas because it has a perfect medium/full body and isn't bitter at all. I steep it for 2 minutes and I never get a bitter flavor. The tea has a nice dark hue and is great with other traditional infusions such as Monkey Picked or Silver Needle. The price is also a plus. Knocked off a star because it isn't one of my all time favorites but definitely a good staple to have around.

The first time I'd tasted this tea, I was amased. It's flavour is perfect. I had never tasted anything like it before...I've had some Earthy teas, but nothing compared to this. It, undoubtedly is my most favourite tea. It's very, very malty, quite Earthy, and has notes of dark chocolate in it as well. It's very smooth and goes extremely well with butter shortbread. Milk makes it even more smooth and seems to bring out the Earthiness and hide the chocolatey notes more.

Good for anyone who enjoys a nice straight up cup of tea. Also, a great value, since it is good for multiple infusions.

Nice srong and smooth black tea. My only complaint is that based on other reviews I expected a more complex flavor. I'll give it another try. A good tea anyway.

This is a good tea. My personal favorite is Black Dragon Pearls, and this tea just doesn't have the cocoa notes that the Pearls do. Very little bitterness, although you will taste some on the first cup. Good for multiple infusions (2-3), but each subsequent cup will be noticeably weaker than the last. This is a great tea if you're looking for a Yunnan black that will taste good and save you some cash, but it probably won't replace the Black Dragon Pearls if those are close to your heart. Definitely worth a try.

This is by far my favorite black tea that Teavana sells. While I do love Black Dragon Pearl, I have to say that I prefer the taste of Copper Knot. It doesn't need any milk, just a bit of sugar or truvia, and it's such a good, strong brew! It has a full, malty, slightly chocolatey taste to it. It's also good for at least 2 steepings. I usually steep mine for 2:45 ^.^

Of the teas that I've bought sight unseen online, this has been the best. If you're not willing to fork out for the Black Dragon Pearl, then this is a good, less expensive substitute. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars because I think it falls short of 4, but I couldn't rate it as a 3, so 4 it is. Good basic black tea hot or iced.

I wholly agree with Tea Convert from Hoboken, NJ. I tried this by itself and was actually disappointed. I found it a bit flat, and bitter. However, I just tried it again this morning, and added sweetener (can't use sugar) and a splash of milk, and it became very nice. I almost never add milk to my tea, but in this instance it was a nice addition. Also, I'd have to recommend steeping it for around 4 minutes. The 2-3 that is recommended isn't nearly enough time. I also forgot it in the tea maker and thought it was ruined, but pleasantly surprised, instead. At the end of the day, It's ok, but will not be added into my rotation. The milk and sweetener will only aid me in finishing off the 2oz I have on hand.

Wanted to give this one a try just from reading about it in the book. I just bought 2 oz, and brewed it up tonight. First steep 2 minutes & 2nd for 3 minutes. It hits the senses starting with the color, what a pretty copper color! The aroma is deep & soothing. The taste.... fantastic! Deep, rich, smooth, and bold!!! I love it and the taste lingers in the mouth. I expected to like this tea, but it turns out, I LOVE this tea & will buy more & more & more! It's a nice switch from all the flavored teas I love so much.
