OK folks, read the other reviews and two things show up in the criticisms: it's a bit weak, and something is a bit off. This is what I do to make it "right".
It IS a bit weak, so I add 1/4 of Black Dragon Pearls Black Tea into the mix. Because I live close to a store, I smelled every single black tea Teavana makes, and in my humble opinion, that was the one that "matched" the Thai flavor the best.
Second: it needs more coconut. So instead of sweetening it with cane sugar, I open up a can of cream of coconut. A couple of Tablespoons in the pot increases the coconut flavor as needed and sweetens it at the same time. In a pinch, sweetening with condensed milk and using coconut concentrate works as well.
I also found that crushing the star of anise and various pods with your fingers before pouring the hotter-than-usual-water helps the flavor as well.
So fear not, buy this, just be ready to put a few extra steps in. I have not found a better homemade Thai tea made by an American.

I wanted to like this tea. I'm in love with Teavana's thai blend so I figured this was a good upgrade. Did my monthly online shopping needed 2ozs to get the 10% so I added more of this figuring it'd be safe. It's the first time teavana's let me down.
Not that this tea was bad, i just wasn't impressed. No matter what temp I set my hotwater heater to (and I tried all four) all I could taste in this tea was cinnamon. If I'd liked cinnamon, i'm sure i'd be happy about this but seeing as I don't i am disapointed. I spent money on this so I won't waste it and I will drink it but I can safely say that this is definatly not a repeat.

This tea has a very complex boquet. There are hints of almond, star anise, coconut, and pepper. Each aroma component is matched perfectly without one overpowering any of the others. The body is medium and the taste is a bit weak. The tea mixes beautifully with many others. After hours experimenting I found that adding this to the Pineapple Kona Pop over ice with a splash of heavy cream creates a tea that tastes just like Pina Colada, and is quite refreshing.

This was my introduction to Teavana long ago, but it continues to be my go-to all time fave. It is a wonderful, smooth blend of nutty, fruity, and spicy flavors. Use more than recommended for a bold taste. Drink it warm to taste the full flavor. Hot or iced seems to mask some of the more subtle notes to this perfect tea. This is my comfort tea, the one I drink when I am feeling sad or having a bad day. It's pure happiness in a cup.

I have now had this twice: once on its own and once with some added black tea. I like them both, and think you can play around to find the perfect intensity for you.
On its own, I found this tea to be fragrant and full-flavored, if not incredibly spicy. I like spicy teas, but the fruity elements here add a great flavor undertone that I wasn't expecting. It's been a while since I had Thai Iced Tea, so I can't say if this tastes exactly like that, but I can say that this tastes DELICIOUS!

Smells amazing, one of my favorites. As others has mentioned it is not strong in flavor. I steep mine extra time, sometimes not meaning to while tackling laundry, cleaning the kitchen and making tea the few extra minutes bring out the flavor even more. This tea is rich and nutty and is great when I'm attempting to be a morning person, with a few tea cookies for dessert, or when I'm curled up on the sofa!

I love Thai Tea, so I was excited to try this. It just doesn't measure up. First off, it tastes nothing like Thai tea. Second, I like my tea to have some flavor, and this is on the weak side, and tastes vaguely of dried apples.

I bought this tea because of it's amazing smell! I got home and it did not disappoint! I have made it both hot & with as a cold drink mixed with milk. It is wonderful both ways. While it is wonderful on its on, I look forward to my next trip to getting some Allmond Biscotti to mix!

I was told that this brew was best iced, but I definitely prefer it warm. I also like my teas strong, so I used more than what was directed.
This chai is a fine tea on it's own--very soothing--but after playing chemistry in my kitchen, I found my favorite mix was with honey and a little milk (or coconut milk if you have it.) Mmm! The honey and milk makes it creamy and delicious enough to replace dessert. The spices and fruit do most of the work, so don't overdo the add-ins! :)

I was sad when they discontinued the Thai Blend, but this one is a great replacement. In fact, I like this one much more because of the spicy notes and star anise... It's very close to authentic Thai style tea, perfect!
