I was pleasantly surprised at this tea. I honestly bought it in the store because the name sounded nice and I had money left on a gift card. But once I tried it, I was glad I'd bought it. It is understated, and does not grab your taste buds' attention the way Wild Orange Blossom or White Ayurvedic Chai does. But it is sweet at first taste, very aromatic, and has pleasant flavors of cinnamon, almond, and vanilla. I cannot detect the rose as much as I would like; I was looking forward to a new experience in a rose tea. It is also not as energizing as I'd hoped from a black tea, and if steeped too long, can be bitter. I do not use any sugar, however, so I'd imagine adding a bit of the German rock sugar would alleviate that problem. The marzipan taste is so enjoyable that it's easy to overlook any faults this tea may have. All in all, a good tea to drink very hot and savor slowly. :)

I remember my first sip of Almond Biscotti like it was yesterday. I was in the hall waiting for class to start and someone was talking to me. When I took that sip I think my eyes might have rolled back in my head a bit. It was delicious! I wonder if the student noticed. It tastes like a cookie! Smooth and and creamy with a hint of cinnamon. After class I went home to review it and found out it was discontinued. I thought Almond Biscotti would be my new morning ritual but now I save it for special occasions.
I finally had a chance to go to Teavana last weekend and talk to an employee. Almond Biscotti has been replaced by Amandine Rose. He had me smell it and it smelled wonderful. I left Teavana very excited.
Amandine Rose is neither a replacement for nor improvement of Almond Biscotti. The cookie flavor is gone. The rose is nice but subtle. The complexity is gone for me too. I mostly taste straight almond and a bit of rose. It is good, but not "drink it everyday" good. Not special like Almond Biscotti.

Almond is one of my favorite flavors so the descriptors for this tea is what initially drew me to it, and the taste holds true to the words. There's a definite nutty flavor and a little sweetness to it that's not overwhelming so you can still tell it's a black tea underneath it all, which I love. It's a great tea to relax with at the end of the day.

It's good, but not my favorite. The "gingerbread" taste can be somewhat of a turnoff.

Wonderful tea for keeping warm on cold days! This tea has a warm heavy sweet nutty and smooth taste with a small floral note at the end. The cinnamon and almond are the two strongest tastes in this blend, both blend very well with the black tea. the saffron adds a wonderful twist to it.The rose is very faint, mostly noticeable in the after taste.Over all it's Delicious and fits well together, I hope more people give it a try. :)

I Love the smell and flavor of this tea! I usually mix it with another black tea like golden monkey or english breakfast and it still has a lot of awesome flavor

When I bought this tea, I figured I'd love it by the way that it smells. When I had the tea alone, I didn't care for it much, but I recently mixed it with Azteca Fire, and it's very tasty! Definitely a dessert tea, I added a little less than half a teaspoon of the German Rock Sugar, and it was quite an improvement. I would say to drink it only when mixed with something sweet, I won't drink it by itself anymore.
