Description
This marblized yixing teapot features a wandering lizard that will catch even a cynic's eye. Unique look doesn't change the fact that Yixing teapots are one of the best ways to make tea. These pots 'season', which means they take on and accentuate the characteristics of your favorite tea. So they should be used on only one type of tea.

This Yixing pot holds 10 ounces. Perfect for a single person. Features a built-in tea strainer.

This is a perfect little teapot for one person. The lizard is a really cute touch and matches the lizard Yixing mug, which, sadly doesn't appear to be available at Teavana any more (I had to get mine from another vendor). I love the fact that Yixing clay seasons and takes on the subtle flavors of the tea used--for that reason, Yixing mugs and pots are used with one tea only. I use my lizard mug and pot for Qi'Lan Fireside oolong, and the seahorse Yixing mug for My Morning Mate. All are seasoning nicely. But back to the teapot: it holds 10 ounces, which is about half of the amount held by the lizard mug. But I'm the only tea drinker in my household so it suits me fine. And it's CUTE!

When I got the tea pot, I ordered the matching tea mug with it. The tea pot has nice marbled design, however that frog is hideous. The orange "scales" were all smeared together, it is just not very pretty when you look up close.

            great little teapot

            By Ramon

This is a great little pot. It holds 7-8 oz, which is perfect for one cup at a time. By the time you're finished with your first cup, your second steep is ready!

To answer the comment that it doesn't have a strainer: yes, it does. The strainer is built ito the spout -- it's part of the pot, not a separate mesh infuser.

Mine pours cleanly, without any drips. The handle does get a little hot, but it's not really a problem, as you're only dealing with 8 oz. of liquid.

And I would be remiss not to mention how cute it is. The little lizard is adorable.

States included built-in tea strainer which I never received despite repeated queries and requests.

This tea pot only holds 7 oz of tea which is not bad except the matching tea mugs recommended with it are 14 oz. other than that I like my tea pot and cannot wait until I fully season it.
