I recently purchased the Claire Teapot, and I am very impressed. While I own several other teapots, this is my first from Teavana, and I am very pleased with the quality and elegance.
When I first used this teapot, I really enjoyed (and still do), the elegant design and built in tea strainer. The strainer is the biggest standout in my mind, and is really convenient for loose-leaf tea.
In fact, my only complaint is that the lid of the teapot does not fit without the strainer. While it preserves the elegance of the design, I feel like it could be a little better, especially for people like me, who clean out the strainer right after brewing.

The teapot looks amazing...until you go to put the lid on the actually teapot, not the strainer...low and behold the strainer lid doesn't fit teapot. Not only is my tea getting cold with the escaping steam, the teapot now looks like I got it at a thrift shop & getting cheaply because there's the missing teapot lid issue...borderlines on false advertising. I'd expect Teavana, with their impecable taste, to have done a more professional job when designing this teapot.

This teapot is absolutely horrendous. The lid cannot stay on the pot without the steeper in. And even with the steeper in, the lid falls off.
Not sure what product designer came up with this mess but it should be taken off the site and shelves immediately.

I use this teapot and warmer almost everyday.
The spout is amazing, I have never had drips and sometimes I just stare at it wondering how this even possible. Good stuff!
If you would like to brew one or two cups of tea at a time I would suggest purchasing their smaller tea pots. I usually have to put in at least three cups of water for the liquid to even touch the tea leaves in the diffuser. Sometimes it's just a bit too much tea for me!
Great tea pot, would recommend.
Pros
- Beautiful Design

Cons
- Hard to clean
- Too fragile

I loved this teapot a gift from my daughter. hubby wanted to do me a favor and broke teapot while washing it. Iam so sad.
I found this teapot too delicate, i loved but was always worried I would break it first.

I was skeptical at first because of the 'cons' comments. However, this tea pot is much more durable than it looks and feels so you dont have to worry about it not being able to handle the water temperature. Also, the supposed issue about there being no fitting lid is ridiculous. Dont need to be a genius to realize that you need to empty the infuser place it back into the pot with the lid. I love this tea pot...it's sleek, works great, great to look at when guests come over, and has a tea warmer you can use with it. Thanks Teavana!

When we first received this teapot we thought we had found the "one". It has a great style and balance which makes pouring perfect. Unfortunately, it was not designed by a tea drinker. After steeping the pot, we realized that the lid fits in the strainer and can't be put on the pot without the strainer...bad design. We buy classic teas that can be steeped several times and would go bitter if the strainer is left with the leaves in the pot. Fortunately, we had an old top from a steeping cup that fits but ruins the look but keeps the aroma in the tea. I would only recommend this pot for one steep black teas, or tisanes. Too bad that this fault was overlooked by design and quality control. Otherwise it would be a fantastic pot.
Hi, this is a lovely teapot, however, if you remove the tea strainer, the lid does not fit on top, so you really can't remove the strainer. This can be problematic because most of us would not want to leave tea leaves in a brewed pot of tea for longer than the steeping time. So, you'd have to empty the strainer, put it back in the pot, then the lid fits, but who wants to clean a teapot twice?
Pros
- Clear
- Huge strainer basket
- Interesting shape
Cons
- Design flaw
- Hassle to use
Best Uses
- Teas that can't oversteep
- Teas you like stronger
I'm not usually a huge fan of glass teapots, because they're too fragile and I'm too clumsy. However, I loved the design of this when it came out and had a perfect spot for it in my house. I thought it would look beautiful after removing the strainer basket and having a full pot of colorful tea. However, Teavana really messed up on this one.
The lid will not fit on the teapot WITHOUT the strainer basket! What a silly thing to do! This means, that if you want to drink any real TEA out of it, (Whites, greens, oolongs and blacks that can all oversteep if left in the water) you have to remove the strainer basket and lid, clean out the strainer basket, then return it to your teapot to use it, all while the heat is escaping out of the lidless teapot.
Pros

I love this pot and use it every single day! There is but one problem with the pot and thats the lid doesn't fit without the strainer so it has to be cleaned to cap the pot and cease the steeping... other than that as I said great pot, it's my favorite since I've purchased it.
