It's the perfect size - 30 oz is enough for two mugs if you and a friend are having tea, or the included 4 Japanese teacups are great if you're relaxing with a group. I personally like to brew up a pot whenever I'm writing an essay, and then sip on it until I'm done. It keeps the tea hot for a long time; the teacups are the perfect size for your hands, and it's really pretty.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I received this tea set as a gift and I love it. It is really pretty. The picture does not do it justice. The color is a really nice green that shines and has beautiful cups to go with it. I love that it is not huge, just perfect for me.
