This product is really the man's perfect tea pot. Its masculine, durable, and carries a simple warrior like mystique with the black hobnail design. I purchase the large size pot two christmas' ago and have used it nearly every evening since, with nothing but enjoyment out of it. Over the next year i picked up additional pieces for it, 6 cups/coasters, tea warmer, bamboo tool set, enameled tea tray, cloth tray insert, and not only is it totally fuctional, but it presents it self well on a side table even when not in use. Guests often comment on it, and are usually treated to tea later :) The only thing i would say that could be seen as a downside to some, is care of the pot and making sure the non-enameled surfaces are meticulously dried after each use to prevent rusting. I personally enjoy cleaning the set as well as using it (its part of the whole enjoyment of tea to me) so it doesn't bother me, however i could see some that may not want to give it the care it needs and have it end up rusting on them. But all said and done, a wonderful pot, priced rightly i believe, due to the craftmanship to be fare to the makers and to profit the company as well. Thank you teavana for an excellent product.

I used this pot every day for about 3 weeks then I noticed the inside lining was peeling off! If I stick my fingers on the inside rim you can actually hear the lining stick to your fingers and then come off the pot (like a suction sound). So disappointed! I only washed it with water, the pot was never submerged in water and the water temp for the tea was always below boiling. I'm hoping this was defective, but I also bought the hobnail cups and the lining also came off those, I returned them a few weeks ago for ceramic. Unfortunately this pot needs to be returned, so disappointed.

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
After drinking some really delicious tea at a restaurant a few weeks back served in a really cool cast iron teapot, I decided I wanted one. I went all over town and found only an inexpensive one. Came home, did an internet search and found Teavana's website and to my surprise there was a store in the nearby mall. I went and not only found excellent quality Pots but also every accessory I could think of for a complete set. I left $200 lighter in the pocket but walked away completely satisfied with what I know was a quality purchase that I am looking forward to enjoying for years to come.

I have been a coffee drinker for over 30 year. I was at a Teavana Store in Tampa, Florida and stop to try a sample of the Chai Tea. It was so awesome I ended up buying the teapot, and the tea and other accesories. My Mom has always loved tea,but she has passed away and she would of loved this teapot. Thanks for having your store in the International Plaza in Tampa Florida...Angela

I bought a knock-off "made in China" version of this same teapot and had paint chips from the peeling enamel floating in my tea and sent it back. Pay the extra money and buy the Japanese version of this teapot. It's worth every cent!
Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
Got teapot for husband on father's day and he loved it. Of course, I am the one who makes it so I will tell you that it is wonderful. It keeps tea hot for awhile. I heat the water right on the glass top stove until the water smokes up and a few bubbles appear at the bottom. Then I remove it and steep the tea for whatever the tea type says. Voila! Caution: dont boil water because tea will get bitter when you steep.

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
This is an excellent teapot. I wonder about comments that some people made about the teapot getting too hot and possibly burning someone. I certainly hope that folks who buy a product of this type know how to use it. The water should be heated in a TEA KETTLE and poured into the teapot through the infuser. The teapot will not be excessively hot, but will keep the tea hot for a good amount of time. You do not use these types of teapots to heat the water in......

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
I originally looked for a teapot that was really big ... and got a different 46 oz pot ... but after a few days use discovered that it was really just too much tea at one time for me ----> so i took it back and left with the 30 oz hobnail and absolutely LOVE it ... it's just perfect for me and my tiny matching cup :) i am beyond thrilled and use it every morning and every afternoon.

My husband gave me this tea pot and some chai tea as a Christmas gift. I think it was the sweetest most thoughtful thing he could have done! It comes with its own mesh filter so the tea leaves stay out of the tea and it keeps the tea hot for a long time. I love love love it! (and my husband)
