Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

This product really helps to keep the tea fresh and can be reused over and over again. I have bought both large and small - but find the small keeps tea fresher as there is less air space when the tea starts to dwindle.

Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

Before using the tea tins from Teavana I noticed that my tea would go bad rather quickly. I had thought in the store that it was just another way they were trying to get my money, but I was wrong. I went to the shop and bought two of the 1/2lb tins for my Earl Grey White and Jasmine Pearls and my tea probably would have lasted for years if I didn't drink it so quickly. I also bought some Washi Tins because they're just too cute :)

I did have a slight problem with the tea smell being trapped inside of the tin so I threw it in the freezer for a half hour or so, when I took it out it was as fresh as new!

Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

I love these cute tins. I bought a small one online and was unable to pick the color and style. I was sent a very pretty pattern. I would love to have one of these for every tea I own but they are a bit pricey. Would make a great gift...hint hint.

Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

I have the small tins and use them for tea storage and other types of storage. I plan on getting some of the larger ones for my favorite teas. To keep the papers looking great visit your nearby craft store and buy some Mod Podge, an angled sponge applicator, very fine sandpaper, #000 steel wool and clear acrylic sealer. Follow the directions on the Mod Podge jar and your papers will stay beautiful. Use ONLY on the paper!! On the inside use a liner. I am using parchment paper then a really good plastic wrap (not the cheap kind). This will keep the inside clean and hopefully keep the scent of the tea from seeping into the tin itself. I have not finished a can of tea yet, so I don't know if it works. Thinking outside the box - leave enough of both papers so you can fold them over before putting the plastic lid on. The plastic will absorb the scent if it is not blocked off. It's a lot of work but well worth it for cleaning and hopefully for the ability to reuse the tin for a different tea if you chose. I would recommend this to a friend only after telling them the above.

Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

These tins are definitely cute, but don't even think about trying to clean them out or switching the kind of tea you put in them after you run out. The paper that wraps them is VERY delicate, and even the slightest bit of moisture will make it bubble up and peel off of the tin. Plus, the tins do tend to hold the smell of the stronger teas no matter how long you let them air out (I made the mistake of using it for Matevana and cannot get the stench out!). If you plan to use this to store the same type of tea over and over, it will serve it's purpose, but if you want to re-use it for different types of tea and expect to be able to rinse out the little left over tea bits, you'll be disappointed.

Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

These tins are beautiful and add to the full sensory experience of drinking Teavana teas. When I see them out on my counter I'm always enticed to make myself a cup. The small size is just right for 2-4 ounces of tea. They are completely worth the price aesthetically, and they seem to keep the tea fresh (although I think this is hard to judge and I wish someone would do a real test to see if this is any different than keeping the tea in a bag).

Comments about Teavana Washi Tin Large:

I found these pretty tins on a shopping trip in Chicago, and immediately got addicted to them and the store. I have several, and each is unique for easy tea ID without opening the lid. My favorite is the green one with the little bunnies on it. SO cute! They keep the tea sealed and fresh for a really long time! I'm ordering more right now!
