Thermos Chocolate Tea Tumbler

This travel mug is wonderful at keeping things hot or cold, but I was very disappointed that the strainer/filter for the tea had such large openings. I find that my tea always has floating debris when using this mug. Now, I have to make my tea separate and then put it in the mug, which kind of defeats the purpose of the product.

Amazing product. I purchased it just yesterday and already I'm in love. I do wish the strainer had smaller straining holes but there's no plans too near in the future for small pieces in my tea. It does state that it keeps hot liquids hot for 6(?) hours, if I recall right and today I put that to the test. 8:30am filled it and by 6:30pm it was just starting to get cold. Wonderful thermos and completely leak-free.

This was a birthday gift from my sister and I absolutely love it. I took it to work today and 4 hours later my tea was still piping hot. 7 hours later the remaining liquid was still warm. The only down side is that the filter is not fine enough for some of the fine teas I drink, and some falls through. However, as I have yet to find any tea filtering product with a filter that doesn't have this problem, I'm not going to dock points. I'm more than happy to use a tea bag on those pesky fine teas.

Why it's great:
I received this as a gift from my sister. The tumbler's ability to keep tea hot is unmatched. I have had tea stay hot for more than 4 hours in it. This is the number one reason you should buy it. It stays completely cool to the touch, no matter how hot the tea inside may be. It's attractive, too. The rich chocolate color is gorgeous.

What needs improvement:
The mesh filter is not fine enough for a lot of teas - littler pieces pass through it and ruin the last swallow. The filter lid and the drinking lid could be SO much more convenient if they screwed or snapped together somehow so I would only have to take one solid unit with me to work, rather than taking the tumbler fitted with the filter lid and the drinking lid separately as I must do now.

Overall:
I absolutely love this tumbler. Despite the problems with the design, it's still the best way to travel with loose tea. (I'd buy another for myself and several as gifts in a heartbeat if the improvements I suggested were made.)

I brew my tea at home and put it in this mug to take to work. If the lid is on, it will stay warm for hours. You will not believe how long it stays warm until you try it. AMAZING! Great for on-the-go. I have never had any problems with leaking like with other to-go mugs. I also use it at home sometimes because I drink slowly and this keeps my tea hot long enough to enjoy it...it tends to get cold on me when I drink it in a mug.

I cannot believe how long this keeps my drink warm. I can seriously leave it for 3-4 hours in the cold and I will still have hot tea to enjoy. One of my favorite gifts I've ever received.

I love the thermos/tumbler. I use it every a.m. to take to work. I only wish it held more, maybe a 16oz. I would buy that in a heart beat.

This cup is filled every morning at 7 a.m. My current favorite is the berry blend, but that can change. It remains hot til well after lunch time (If the tea within actually lasts that long). Cool to the touch, as advertised. I've bought about a dozen so-called travel tea mugs over the years, and this is the BEST I've ever owned!

This mug has a great design. I got it in Chocolate and love the color. I was pleasantly surprised that I still had a perfectly hot cup of tea after 2 hours of house work. The only problem is the subpar filter. Half of the tea ends up in the bottom of the cup. This is extremely annoying as it changes the taste of the brew. I'm now searching for a cheap disposable filter I can use in the Teavana mug filter. I expected better quality and testing. Especially at [$] per mug.

This tea tumbler is by far the best one I've tried. I raved about it so much my husband wanted to try it. He wanted it for his "coffee"(gasp!)so I bought him his own. He loves it as much as I do. Keeps your beverage hot for hours with out any funny flavoring from the cup. Only thing I might want in addition would be a bit more... maybe an oz. or two. Certainly worth every penny.
