This product is great! and a beautiful work of art. Personally, I hate consuming hot lquids from plastic or metal, so I love the glass!..I can't believe other people are complaining. Its not like you dont know this before you buy! I have found the top can leak, but only IF you fail to screw the it on tightly, and straight. The strainer can be a bit difficult but I have found that if I am careful, and only use one tsp of tea (plenty to be used twice BTW) I can lift it out without getting anything in the glass. My only complain: The lid must be handwashed! If not the gold trim ring gets major oxidization. The glass body is dishwasher safe tho. However, if you made the mistake of washing the lid in the DW like I did, the ring can be restored with a little car polish and elbow grease. Just be sure you wash it well afterwards!

My girlfriend wanted this and I got it for her for Christmas. She got it home today and just tried it out. Like the other reviews she also had issues with the strainer. The strainer doesn't like to come out easily and the handle for it came off. This should work nicely as a blooming tea maker or just a nice travel container but not for normal steeping of tea

Love this glass infuser so much I went back for another! I keep one on my desk at work and one at home...didn't want to travel with glass. I don't bother putting the tea in the strainer. I like to place the blooms or loose leaves in the cup and use the strainer to keep them in the cup while drinking. It looks beautiful, tastes great, and makes me smile every time I look at it.

This was great except for the fact that I think I got a lemon. I still gave this 5 stars because it did what I needed it to do and more.
Be carefull when placing this on top of a wet table or tile. Because it sticks to smoot surfaces if it's wet and when I lifted mine up the inside shattered

Ok so when I saw the picture I was like: "what the..." How I use these types of tumblers is not with the tea leaves on top of the strainer... I brew the tea below it in the water... I like strong tea so I dont care how long it steeps. The longer the better. & I just keep adding hot water throughout the day untill its super light. You can just drink it with the leaves still in there. If your going to drop them in the water anyway might as well put them in there to start with and use the strainer the other way. if you want a fast steep just pour it out when you have your desired brew.

The strainer isn't the most wll-though out, BUT it's great if you're using tea bags. I add lemon, ginger and honey to the bottom, drop the tea bags (removing the strings first) and then add the strainer. Add water, close it up and let it steep. The strainer is actually PERFECT for this because it holds the bags away and keeps them from knocking into me when I'm drinking. Just a gorgeous tumbler. Even the box I got it in was beautiful and I use it to store my tea bags.

This was a Christmas present and it is really nice. Double wall glass and awesome artwork. it is 16oz so it makes a good amount and just right for me. The strainer could have been deeper and like others have said, it does have a tendency to leave particles when the strainer is removed. I started using my tea ball infuser, which works quite nicely.

I recieved this as a gift and I love it! I have never used this item to steep loose leaf teas, however, it is great for the blooming teas. I use it at work all the time, I love that it allows me to drink the blooming tea anywhere and it makes a great conversation piece.

I have wanted this tea mug for some time. I finally ordered it and I am glad I got it. I prefer the dragons more than the harmony motif. Because it is glass, I can't see myself using it as a travel mug. I would be too worried it would break. I agree with the other reviewers about the internal strainer. It is different but not really functional. I also have another tea strainer that will work much better inside this tall mug.

I've been looking around for a glass tea tumbler for awhile and found this to be close to perfect. Holds just enough tea and I can hold the glass without it being too hot. However, I wish the strainer was more well thought out. It's flimsy and will drop the leaves when you try to pull it out to drink, so I just use my own strainer. Other than that I get complaints on it daily and it is glass so you drop it.
