I am a relative newbie to tea drinking. Mostly coffee and teabags (ugh) until a Teavana opened near my house.
As Newbies, we purchased the perfect teamaker . It is VG, but when two people are drinking different blends, you need two Teamakers. Takes up too much space and cleaning.
Next, purchased the expensive Breville. Then, two Remis. The Remi is the most used.
First. The Breville is fine for a large pot of single brew black tea, or when a number of people drink the same tea. It is not economical when people drink different teas. For example, I like teas that give 3 flavorful cups per brew. I put in my Remi and drink 3 cups during the day.
My wife may want a strawberry blend (ugh). She uses her Remi.
Her teas only give one brew.
The Breville just wouldn't work in these cases. I do use it for a Kettle though.

There are various problems with this tea mug.One of the major problems I see is that it does not brew my tea well at all. I have brewed my tea for about 10 mins. one time and my tea was still very weak and I did not get the flavor I usually do when i just use tea bags. The second problem is that the glass of the mug is very hot to the touch. The glass is also very thin so I feel like I am going to break it all the time.

I have Raynaud's Syndrome and it is really important that I stay warm. Tea is my warm drink of choice. With my Remi and an electric mug warmer I always have a warm delicious mug of tea at my desk.

This is the best little mug set I have ever had. The glass is very surprisingly strong. I love the way it feels in my hands... ANd that I can see the tea colors. I use it for every single cup I brew now. I bought a few more for visitors.

I got this as a gift, and I LOVE it. I never thought I'd need anything besides my tumble, but I was wrong - I use this multiple times a day. The glass is great: lightweight but appears durable. The only complaint I have is that the green rim doesn't keep you from burning yourself, it still gets ridiculously hot.

I bought this mug for work and within an hour of using it, 4 people had asked me about it. It's extremely easy to use and clean out, and the lid as a holder for the strainer is genius. My one (minor) gripe is that the handle is not very comfortable. I have the Perfect Tea Maker at home, but having this mug at work was one less thing to clean and one less thing to worry about. Highly recommended!

I love this cup I've had it 3 days and I've used it like crazy! I've always loved tea but I'm new to loose tea I switched for the health benefits. But this cup and strainer works fine for me but I'm thinking of getting one that's all glass despite the bad reviews because I wanna watch my tea lol but all in all this cup gets two thumbs up. P.S. this cup is made of thin glass but if you handle it with care you should be ok. I bubble wrap mines in my lunch bag.

I use this cup and infuser every morning, then for a second or third infusion through out the day. I feel like I don't waste the tea and the 2-cup portion is just the right amount.
Pros
- Convenient
- Easy cleanup
- Good concept
Cons
- Filter doesn't reach 8oz
Best Uses
Fairly convenient, but wish it had a way to use it with smaller amounts of tea (one cup). I also was hoping it was more conducive to use as a large mug, seems better suited as a pitcher

I bought this mug to use at my desk at work and like it so much I am tempted to get one for home as well. The glass mug can be placed in the microwave to heat up the water. The lid can be used as a coaster for the infuser, once the tea has steeped. I also enjoy how the tea looks in the clear glass. The infuser works well. It does let some small particles through, but that doesn't bother me. The silicone rim keeps it cool enough to remove. And the whole thing is easy to clean as well. Great product.
