I am a relative newbie to tea drinking. Mostly coffee and teabags (ugh) until a Teavana opened near my house.

As Newbies, we purchased the perfect teamaker . It is VG, but when two people are drinking different blends, you need two Teamakers. Takes up too much space and cleaning.

Next, purchased the expensive Breville. Then, two Remis. The Remi is the most used.

First. The Breville is fine for a large pot of single brew black tea, or when a number of people drink the same tea. It is not economical when people drink different teas. For example, I like teas that give 3 flavorful cups per brew. I put in my Remi and drink 3 cups during the day.

My wife may want a strawberry blend (ugh). She uses her Remi.
Her teas only give one brew.

The Breville just wouldn't work in these cases. I do use it for a Kettle though.

    Love It

    By Stephie

    from Mooresville, NC

I was a little nervous about purchasing this product, since a few said it broke the first few times they used it. But it was on sale so I figured I would try it. The glass is very thin and light and does feel like it would break by just pouring hot water in. I have used it everyday since I received it and I absolutely love it! After steeping the tea I can just lift out the infuser part and it sits perfectly in the lid of the mug. Also, it is very easy to clean.

18 months of use and still going strong.

Update. This is my second review of this product. About 18 months ago, we purchased two. We still enjoy both. Washed in dishwasher. Much use. No cracks or breakage. Holds a large amount of tea, about 16 ounces, so use a double serving of tea, or the tea may be too weak. Notice they are on sale now, so I'll be buying a few more. They make very good tea. I usually stir with gentle plastic stirrers. They are excellent brewing devices. Pop it under my mini Keurig (slide out the bottom of the Keurig so they will fit.) Very easy to shake out the used tea, and clean the metal section. A very good item.

I love this. I have a bunch of pots but sometimes I'm just too lazy to make a whole pot. The tea strainer is really fine so no tea leaves leak through it. The glass is really thin so you have to be careful washing it but its makes the glass look so elegant. I havent had any problems with putting it in the dishwasher as it does say dishwasher safe. I'd say this $20 is the best I've spent at Teavana besides the Earl Grey Creme.. Love that too!

            Broken Remi!

            By CE

            from Beachwood, Ohio

This product is decent enough... just don't break the thin glass. There is not a replacement for sale which doesn't make sense given the amount of comments on the site about the glass cup breaking. Teavana should consider this as I was thinking about buying these for family and friends, but now would not knowing you have to purchase a whole set up if you break the cup.

I just started drinking tea for the benefits of green & oolong teas. Before I would rarely make a pot. Now with this mug I drink 3-4 cups a day!

I consider myself someone who isn't going to go out of their way to make tea. So, I use this mug with my "one cup coffee brewing device". It's fast, convenient, and ready in minutes.

The strainer has tiny wholes that catch most of the leaves, but some may seep through. Doesn't bother me at all.

Bottom broke when washing by hand

I thought this product was pretty cool when I first got it. It brewed pretty well and overall the product worked great. The issue came when I attempted to wash the cup by hand and the bottom broke completely out of it. Very disappointed. Want to replace it but now I'm not sure I want to. I realize it is not the most expensive brewing cup that Teavana offers, but it should be sturdy enough to wash by hand without breaking.

I have Raynaud's Syndrome and it is really important that I stay warm. Tea is my warm drink of choice. With my Remi and an electric mug warmer I always have a warm delicious mug of tea at my desk.

This is the best little mug set I have ever had. The glass is very surprisingly strong. I love the way it feels in my hands... ANd that I can see the tea colors. I use it for every single cup I brew now. I bought a few more for visitors.

I got this as a gift, and I LOVE it. I never thought I'd need anything besides my tumble, but I was wrong - I use this multiple times a day. The glass is great: lightweight but appears durable. The only complaint I have is that the green rim doesn't keep you from burning yourself, it still gets ridiculously hot.
