The mug itself is very nice but very delicate. It retains the heat of the tea very well. The infuser slits are very tiny, but small grounds of tea still seep through so when you're done brewing, instead of having a clear cup of tea you have lots of little granules in the tea and on the bottom of the mug. I would recommend this only if you're going to use whole leaf tea or unless you don't mind having granules of tea floating around. It would also be nice if there was a way to judge how much water you should add when you don't have a measuring cup.

Honestly this tea infuser is not worth the price considering the first one I got in the mail BROKE after ONE use. Thankfully Teavana has pretty good customer service and sent me a replacement one for free in the mail, I didn't even have to pay shipping! However, it looks like there are micro-cracks in the glass bottom part where the slits are ALREADY. Seriously? Why would you sell such a terrible product that breaks after one use and/or arrives broken? I like the concept but this is way too delicate to be practical in any way, shape or form. I am going to use this one until it breaks and when they're tired of sending me replacements, I will try to find a different infusion mug elsewhere. Sorry Teavana but this was a huge flop in my book. See photos.

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
I love this little mug. It's great for brewing tea that you want to watch unfurl. I wouldn't recommend it for any tea with little pieces of leaf because they can get stuck in the strainer openings. However for full leaf teas it is wonderful. I have owned 2 for over 6 months and have not had any problems with them breaking. It's thin glass so just be careful when washing. And I should note that I have broken my fair share of plates and glasses in my time and yet, so far so good with these.

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
I got this mug because the shop assistant told me it would be easier to clean, I suppose she is right. Also for making a single cup at work. Mug was great for about a month and a half, then while washing up it may have gently tapped the inner piece against the side of the sink and the bottom shattered. Never expected I'd need to return so soon so I hadn't kept the receipt, customer service was completely unresponsive on this.

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
This glass infuser is wonderful for people that drink tea at home. Many people are writing reviews about it breaking; it is glass, you should expect to be more careful with it than you are with a regular mug. The glass mug is very beautiful; I love watching the tea leaves float around while it brews! Overall, this is a great product and I plan to buy more in the future.

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
After only about two months of use the mug was being used to make fresh cup of tea and you heard two pops and it cracked just by puring the hot water in it. I always hand wash items like mugs and dishware... very dissapointed

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
I bought this product mostly for use at work where a teapot would be inconvenient. I love that it is entirely glass because I enjoy seeing the tea and enjoying the color, etc. I have recently misplaced it and am considering buying another after using it regularly for a year. The glass slits in the infuser can get a little clogged, but if you put it in the dishwasher, they come out with no problem. I usually turn over the lid and set the infuser in it after seeping, so I find no inconvenience with the design. The glass does heat up a bit, but I don't find it to be problematic. If I could change one thing, it would be to increase its size to about 14-16 oz.
Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
I loved this cup so much, I bought several for gifts. It is great for a single serving and so easy to use. However, the glass is not durable and it cracked at the rim after only using it a week. Extremely fragile.
Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
If you plan on buying this, don't do it online!! It's a very fragile item, however, it isn't packaged well. I ordered it online and it showed up shattered. There was room in the mailing box for it to move around during the transit. Thankfully they have good customer service, I was able to exchange it for a glass infuser tumbler in the store. You definitely need to observe this item in the store before you decide to buy it because it's really delicate - also because I only recommend buying it in the store.

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
This mug is okay, it works well enough for brewing loose-leaf tea at work. You end up with some bits of tea leaves in your tea, but that is to be expected with the glass infuser. The infuser works fine so far (I have had the mug for about a month), but it is inconvenient to have to remove it and find a place to set it down where it will not leaking tea on my desk. I know Borosilicate glass is tougher than most other kinds of glass (it is used for most laboratory equipment) and having such a delicate looking mug is pretty, but it is still terrifyingly fragile. Carrying it to the water cooler or the kitchen to get more hot water is always a little harrowing, especially carrying it back after adding the hot water, as the glass heats up very quickly. If you were debating between this mug and something like the Teavana Perfect TeaMaker, I would definitely recommend you go with the Perfect TeaMaker. I have one at home and find it much more convenient, and your tea will look just as pretty while brewing.

Comments about Teavana Joli Glass Mug with Infuser:
Despite ordering this mug a little over a month ago, this is is my first time using it. The reason being because I know how fragile this mug is and because I have a tremor in my left hand (and even tho I am right handed) I was afraid I would drop it. I drop stuff and knock stuff over all the time. But I decided I'll try it and see how it goes. I have to say, I really enjoy this cute little mug. Despite its fragile appearance, it's more durable than it looks. When I made my Silver Neede tea, it made me feel like the goddess of teas. I absolutely love this mug! It is the mug of all tea bosses! Just be sure to treat it with extra special care!
