The mug itself is very nice but very delicate. It retains the heat of the tea very well. The infuser slits are very tiny, but small grounds of tea still seep through so when you're done brewing, instead of having a clear cup of tea you have lots of little granules in the tea and on the bottom of the mug. I would recommend this only if you're going to use whole leaf tea or unless you don't mind having granules of tea floating around. It would also be nice if there was a way to judge how much water you should add when you don't have a measuring cup.

Absolutely love the cup but have broken 2 infusers in 10 months--the infuser is extremely delicate. I seldom break anything, but last night it slipped about 3" coming out of the dishwasher and broke on the plastic-padded upper dishwasher rack. Joli needs to create a strong infuser (perhaps metal)or provide inexpensive glass replacements as a separate item.

This is a gorgeous cup, I have only used it a couple of times so far, but the infuser works very well, none to very little escapees depending on the tea.
I would not reccomend it if you are even slightly clumsy, you can just tell it would be veryyy easy to break.
I would wash it right after use, by hand.
Very good heat insulation for glass, you still should grab it by the handle after pouring in the hot water though, to prevent droping it.

This is a very beautiful tea cup! It makes me feel calm & cozy when I drink from it. It's VERY smooth to the touch & it's made of Borosilicate glass, yet it does still seem a bit fragile, so do treat this precious cup with gentle hands & lotsa love..just as you would a baby bunny rabbit & you both should be fine for a long time! When you finally get to the last sip, the Teavana Logo at the bottom reminds me of who's the Tea Boss! I LOVE it!!

What a great way to drink tea! I just got these today and was not disappointed! I bought two! Washed them as soon as I pulled them out of their boxes to enjoy the tea. What a great way to relax after work. Love seeing the tea leaves unfurl. Previous reviews complained of the infuser breaking. It looks and feels delicate. Will probably hand wash versus dishwasher to be safe.

I became a tea fanatic when I received the Joli mug as a Christmas gift 3 years ago. A few weeks after getting it my 2 year old broke the mug! I haven't been able to drink much tea since because I just don't like the flavour from metal, mesh or plastic influsers (I live in Canada so we don't have a Teavana and the other tea stores don't have glass ones). This year I got a new one for Christmas! I'm hooked and couldn't be more pleased! I'm heading to the USA for vacation in March so I will be picking up more Joli mugs in order to keep one at home AND work (and maybe a spare)...right now I bring it back and forth every day!

I received this as a gift from my daughters and I must say that it beats any tea ball or mesh strainer I've used so far. They also got me the Jasmine pearls and it is fun to watch through the glass as they slowly unfurl in the infuser. The delicate-looking cup is stronger than it looks. I am enjoying a cup right now!

I received this as a gift from one of my best frieds. Whenever her and I get together we sit down and have a glass of tea. This is the perfect way for both of us to blend our own tea without putting too much or not enough in and not making it strong enough, or maybe even too weak for the other person. We basically have the same taste when it comes to tea and the flavors she bought are wonderful. I know people love watching the tea infuse but if you are in a rush you can get the tea bags like she purchased for me and then make it before you go somewhere and just have that blend w/ you incase you decide to have a tea while you are away from home, or you can put the tea in the bag and just remove the infuser if you are a little clumsy and are afraid you will break yours. The best thing about this gift, you can do it however you want and use any flavors you want. I completely recommend this to anyone who loves tea.

This is the prettiest & most functional cup!
The lid keeps the tea hot, the infuser lets you see the tea dancing around as it steeps.. just gorgeous!
Have not had any issues with cleaning as previous reviewers, also the cup seems much sturdier than one would expect from a glass cup.
Great purchase at a great price !

My boss has one of these and loves it but I accidentally bumped it and the middle part broke. The mug and lid are still together but the inside was shattered. Have to get another one now.

I love this mug. It is so nice to watch the tea unfurl and admire the beautiful color, BUT I only had it for 3 weeks before my Hubby broke it, We are ordering 2 more but we'll see how long these last. I just wish it was less fragile or my significant other wasn't such a klutz!
