      Great cup

      By Matt

      from San Diego, Ca

A few comments saying the cup gets too hot, I don't find it does. I warm the cup and pot beforehand, yes it's hot, but I've not had an issue. The outside is a bit rough, although very tame next to many ceramics, and doesn't distract me from the tea. The cup is beautiful and an excellent size. I get comments anytime I serve with this. Don't imagine it's too durable, but you aren't planning on rough-housing with your tea, are you?

      Larger tea cup

      By Dave

      from Ithaca, NY

I like the white inside of the cup which allows one to view the color of the water after steeping the tea. I don't like the rough feel to the outside of the cup.

I love these cups! I gave them to my grandparents as gifts. They are made in Japan which makes it 10x better and they are so pretty. The cups are so unique and sturdy. You know they are high quality cups because you can spot slight differences in each cup, very elegant, and made with care. & I love the design and color!

        So pretty, so useless.

This cup is so pretty, quite elegant. It is larger than I thought it would be and that is a plus. Unfortunately, it is too hot to handle with hot liquid inside. So, it will be part of my cabinet collection rather than a cup I would use regularly. I would recommend only for decor or for cooler drinks.

I received this as a gift, and it has become my favorite cup/mug in my cupboard.
The bamboo design is carved beautifully, and I love that it's made of stone because it gives it a really traditional, rustic feel.

The only con is that because there isn't a handle, you would have to wait a bit before trying to hold it if you poured hot water into it.

I just bought this cup yesterday so I can't comment on its' durability. However, I absolutely love the design and coloring of the cup. One thing I would say though is that when the water is first poured into the cup, it is too hot to handle for about 5-10 minute, and this is coming from someone who can generally handle really hot dishes that others can't. I haven't really had other ceramic dishes heat up quite as much as this cup does. Yet, for that one concern, I still think this is an absolutely lovely cup.
