This sugar is incredible. It's just the right amount of sweetness to not overpower the tea flavor but still get that taste of sweetness. It puts processed sugar to shame. Even my husband who never drinks hot tea LOVES it.

I buy this sugar to make ice tea for my husband who is diabetic, he loves ice tea and we could never use regular sugar due to having it spike his glucose level. I was told by the staff at Teavana that this would not spike his glucose, we are both enjoying the flavorful teas ever since with the little bit of sweetness. The price is well worth it and a jar of it last a long time since I only use 5 teavana teaspoons per jug of ice tea.

Worth the price for fine teas...

I was highly skeptical of this rock sugar before actually trying it in my tea. I thought - now really - how much better can it be than regular sugar, or even turbinado sugar, or "Sugar in the Raw?" Answer - it's MUCH better - especially in delicate green and white teas. Cane sugar imparts its own taste to the tea, even when it's white refined sugar. The turbinado or "raw" sugar crystals are actually worse - as they have a definite molasses taste that ruins the tea. This rock sugar is made from beets, and is imported from Germany. It has a very clean, sweet taste which does not alter the taste of the tea. There is no substitute in my opinion for fine tea, if you like it sweetened. I'm now a believer. Worth the price.

Perfect sugar for perfect tea! Didn't change the flavor of the tea, and wasn't overly sweet! Great stuff.

This is the best sweetener I've ever had and I've had my fair share. This sweaters the tea without taking away from the full flavor. I bought the glass jar full of rock sugar and I'm so glad I did. When I brew my 16oz cup of tea I usually put around 1-2 tsp (teavana tsp) of rock sugar in depending on the type of tea I'm drinking.

I put this in every tea I drink. For iced teas, I would dissolve the sugar first in hot water--thanks Naoko!

Since this is Belgian "candi sugar" which is primarily used for brewing beer, I was quite skeptical about using it as a sweetener for tea, but I am sold on it now. I made two cups side by side, one with rock sugar and one with white refined. The rock sugar clearly made a better tasting cup. It is fantastic in any tea, but really shines with types that need a bit of sweetener to bring out the range of flavors such as minty teas or other flavored kinds.

There are no real cons to it other than it being addictive, I have a bad habit of snacking on it like rock candy. The price is a bit higher than average for this type of sugar, but not unreasonably so.

I use a teaspoon of rock sugar in almost every cup of tea I drink. Dispite my sweet tooth, I don't like things too sweet. This sugar brightens tea flavor without overpowering the lighter teas and it softens the fuller-bodied ones. Very nice!
