these claims are made only by me - they are not made by Teavana or any of their employees. I had a bad headache one day while at work. I went to the local mall to get something to eat and perhaps something to soothe my head. I walked by a Teavana and stepped inside as the calmness of the store is usually a pleasant break in the day. I told the sales associate I had a monster headache and could she mix up something for me. She said she had just the thing and made this amazing tea with just a touch of sugar. Plain, no blend. It was so refreshing, so clear and clean. It was soothing, relaxing. I did something for the headache, but I believe this tea was instrumental in helping me feel better. Maybe it was that I sat quietly enjoying the taste, maybe there is something special to the antioxidant - I don't know what it was, but I went back and purchased 8ounces to take home. It is fantastic.

I bought this tea because it is the rarest in the world... It is absolutely the best white tea out there. However, I like my tea stronger, so I found this to be too weak for my taste. It does make great iced tea, but for the price I would not purchase again . . .

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
I picked up this tea last night after work. At first I was a little cautious because of the price, but after making a cup when I got home, was glad I got it. I steep this tea in the Teavana stainless steel tea ball, in a 8oz ceramic cup. I found that it has a rich, medium body, buttery flavor with a smooth aftertaste, that can linger, and not bitter whatsoever. I can typically get 2-3 steeps from the same 1.5 teaspoon. This tea is perfect for winding down the day.

Very light with a clean taste. Expensive, but well worth it. I love mine blended with the Shanghai Orchid and just a touch of German Rock Sugar. Fantastic.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
This was my first Teavanna buy because I heard that white tea is the least processed tea and Silver Needle is the highest quality. When I smelled it I knew it was what I was looking for, I love a light, subtle, straight, floral tea. If you like a strong tea I don't think this is for you unless you want to blend it. It's smells fantastic and I love it with little to no sweetener. My family also loves it.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
This is my all time favorite tea. If you enjoy raw foods in their purest form, this is it! Close your eyes, inhale deeply, take a long sip, let the aroma rise through your palate and empty your mind of the day's troubles. Add 1tsp. raw white honey to sweeten if desired w/o detracting from the rare purity.
Mix into just about any other blend for added antioxidants. You can get silver needles in other stores, but the quality from Teavana is unsurpassed IMO. The buds are firm, large and light in color compared to others I've tried.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
I gave this silver needle tea a try. We all have heard it is the rarest of teas available. The texture of the loose tea itself is very unique. It is as soft, bud-like pod.
I steeped the tea for a little over 4 minutes. It may look weak, and for non-white tea drinkers it will taste weak. The taste is hard to describe. It is very smooth. A smooth, earthy complexion of flavors drive this tea the it's renowned status.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
I started with White Tea purely for its low caffeine and health benefits, but it now is my favorite. I also feel it boosts my immune system. I use white silver needle plain but blend it with Monkey Picked Oolong, Body & Mind and 2 types Teavana does not offer....Jasmine White Silver Needle and Bai Mudane.
I have afternoon "tea time" whenever I can....this tea is perfect with a little nosh....and is also restorative after a meditation session. This tea leaves me refreshed but not "jangley".
Wish Teavana offered a Jasmine White Silver Needle. The green is OK, but I just prefer white tea.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
This is the best of the best if you like white teas. Silver Needle is the highest quality tea of all teas and the stock that Teavana has had over the years has been second to none. I have been drinking their Silver Needle for 3+ years now and have been happy with every single batch. Their stock has the slightest amount of 'fuzz' on it, giving it a soft texture which indicates top-end Silver Needle. The first taste is crisp, clean, and refreshing, and leaves you wanting more. Overall, the tea finishes light and clean, and it mixes VERY well with most other teas and flavors, especially those of a fruit base. While it may blend well, I almost always drink this tea by itself with little or no sweeteners. Silver Needle is not cheap, especially the stock offered here, but it is well worth it as this is the best that tea gets. Furthermore, the health benefits of white teas, especially Silver Needle, is a huge added benefit. Steep it at 175 as said, or else it will develop a bitter taste and the crispness will be lost. Use 2 tsp over 1.5 for a slightly stronger taste. I love teas. I keep over 15 teas at any given time, but this is the only one that I drink daily and it is by far my top pick.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
At first, I did not prefer Silver Needle. After a few cups, I decided to add more tea (2 rounded tsp.) per 8 oz of water and brew for 5-6 mins. This change made a world of difference!! I could actually taste it!!! Not too nosy, but it has a delicate, smooth palate that is somewhat floral. Still not in my top 5 though.... Plus, it is pricey.

Comments about Teavana Silver Needle White Tea:
It's all right. The only problem is it's really light. You have to have a really refined taste to enjoy the subtlety, and as a young tea drinker it has its good days and bad days. It's a bit bitter, too.
