Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
I have been a coffee drinker for over 30 year. I was at a Teavana Store in Tampa, Florida and stop to try a sample of the Chai Tea. It was so awesome I ended up buying the teapot, and the tea and other accesories. My Mom has always loved tea,but she has passed away and she would of loved this teapot. Thanks for having your store in the International Plaza in Tampa Florida...Angela

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
I bought a knock-off "made in China" version of this same teapot and had paint chips from the peeling enamel floating in my tea and sent it back. Pay the extra money and buy the Japanese version of this teapot. It's worth every cent!
Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
Got teapot for husband on father's day and he loved it. Of course, I am the one who makes it so I will tell you that it is wonderful. It keeps tea hot for awhile. I heat the water right on the glass top stove until the water smokes up and a few bubbles appear at the bottom. Then I remove it and steep the tea for whatever the tea type says. Voila! Caution: dont boil water because tea will get bitter when you steep.

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
This is an excellent teapot. I wonder about comments that some people made about the teapot getting too hot and possibly burning someone. I certainly hope that folks who buy a product of this type know how to use it. The water should be heated in a TEA KETTLE and poured into the teapot through the infuser. The teapot will not be excessively hot, but will keep the tea hot for a good amount of time. You do not use these types of teapots to heat the water in......

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
I originally looked for a teapot that was really big ... and got a different 46 oz pot ... but after a few days use discovered that it was really just too much tea at one time for me ----> so i took it back and left with the 30 oz hobnail and absolutely LOVE it ... it's just perfect for me and my tiny matching cup :) i am beyond thrilled and use it every morning and every afternoon.

My husband gave me this tea pot and some chai tea as a Christmas gift. I think it was the sweetest most thoughtful thing he could have done! It comes with its own mesh filter so the tea leaves stay out of the tea and it keeps the tea hot for a long time. I love love love it! (and my husband)

Comments about Teavana Hobnail Cast Iron Teapot:
I already own a 21 oz cast iron teapot, but purchases the 40 oz Hobnail design for "family use" - meaning I wanted something in which I could brew tea for 4 or more people who favor 8 oz or larger cups. This pot is perfect. It sees daily use. I've taken it to work and have also taken it with me when I visited my sister out of state.
Teapot care is simple - just rinse it out with hot water (no soap!) and let it air dry. I usually pat the outside dry. I've used a soft nylon brush to rinse off the strainer, but it usually rinses clean under hot water.
I use different types of tea depending on my mood or current flavor preference. There is no flavor transference at all.
I rarely use the warmer, but have noticed something unusual about the color of my tea when I do. I've noticed that the tea tends to darken considerably if it sits in the pot for a prolonged period of time or if I use the warmer. I am guessing that this is a natural reaction to the oxidization layer that builds up in the pot, but it's kind of weird having your Body + Mind turn bright orange.

My husband surprised me with the teapot for christmas. I have already been drinking teas. I prepare my tea in a travel container to take to work. I really wish I could take my teapot to work too with the tealight warmer so I could have tea all day. This is certainly a teapot I will cherish.
