Teavana Store Samples

	Your local Teavana stores offers delicious samples of certain teas. This guide will help you make the teas at home (or figure out which tea you tasted). To taste these teas, find the Teavana nearest you here. Below are our sample teas along with instructions for making these tea blends.

Current Teavana Store Samples (started in February 2011)

Chai/Chai tea blend:
White Ayurvedic Chai Tea	Samurai Mate Chai Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 2tsp of each tea and 3tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for 2 minutes.

Youthberry/Wild Orange Blossom tea blend:
Youthberry White Tea	Wild Orange Blossom Herbal Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 2tsp of each tea and 3tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for 2 minutes.

Lavender Sage Opus Rouge tea blend:
Citrus Lavender Sage Herbal Tea	Opus Rouge Rooibos Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 2tsp of each tea and 3tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 205 degrees (just below boiling) and steep for 5 minutes.

Blueberry Bliss/Pineapple Kona Pop tea blend:
Blueberry Bliss Rooibos Tea	Pineapple Kona Pop Herbal Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 4 tsp of each tea & 5 tsp of rock sugar. Steep tea with sugar in 10 ounces of water (at 208 degrees) for 5 minutes, then cool/dilute by pouring strained tea over ice.

Monkey Picked Oolong tea (in cast iron teapot):
Monkey Picked Oolong Tea	Instructions: Use 2tsp of tea per 16oz of water. Heat water to 195 degrees and steep for 3-4 minutes.

Peach Momotaro Blooming tea (in glass teapot):
Peach Momotaro Blooming Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: Use 1 tea ball and 1tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep until tea blooms (around 5 minutes).

Lemon Lime Kampai/Blueberry Bliss tea blend:

Jasmine Tropica tea blend:
Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls Green Tea	Rooibos Tropica Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 2tsp of each tea and 3tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for 2 minutes.

Blueberry Bliss/Strawberry Lemonade tea blend:
Strawberry Lemonade Herbal Tea	Blueberry Bliss Rooibos Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 4 tsp of each tea & 5 tsp of rock sugar. Steep tea with sugar in 10 ounces of water (at 208 degrees) for 5 minutes, then cool/dilute by pouring strained tea over ice.

Diet tea blend:
Weight to Go! Black Tea	Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate Tea	Six Summits Oolong Tea	Black Dragon Pearl Black Tea
Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 1tsp of each tea and sweeten to taste with Rock Sugar or honey. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for 2 minutes.

Mate Chai tea blend:
MateVana Herbal Tea	Rooibos Chai Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 2tsp of each tea and 3tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 208 degrees and steep for 5 minutes.

Iced Peachberry Lemonade tea blend (our iced tea sample):
Peachberry Jasmine Sutra Green Tea	Strawberry Lemonade Herbal Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea: Use 4 tsp of each tea & 5 tsp of rock sugar. Steep tea with sugar in 10 ounces of water (at 208 degrees) for 5 minutes, then cool/dilute by pouring strained tea over ice.

Strawberry Misaki Blooming tea (in glass teapot):
Strawberry Misaki Blooming Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: Use 1 tea ball and 1tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep until tea blooms (around 5 minutes).

Silver Needle White tea (in cast iron teapot):
Silver Needle White Tea	Instructions: Use 2tsp of tea. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for 5 minutes.

Raspberry Riot Lemon Youkou tea blend:
Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate Tea	Lemon Youkou Herbal Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea, use 4 tsp of each tea & 5 tsp of rock sugar. Steep tea with sugar in 10 ounces of water (at 208 degrees) for 5 minutes, then cool/dilute by pouring strained tea over ice.

Phoenix Mountain Dan Cong Oolong tea (in cast iron teapot):
Phoenix Mountain Dan Cong Oolong Tea	Instructions: Use 2tsp of tea per 16oz of water. Heat water to 195 degrees and steep for 3-4 minutes.

Iced Fruta Pomegranate tea blend (our iced tea sample):
Fruta Bomba Green Tea	Apple Lemon Pomegranate Rooibos Tea	German Rock Sugar	Instructions: For 16oz of tea: In a Perfect Tea Maker, put 3tsp of Apple Lemon Pomegranate and 5tsp of Rock Sugar. Heat water to 208 degrees and pour to just over where the handle attaches (around 12oz of the water) to the Tea Maker. Steep for 5 minutes and allow the remaining water to cool slightly (to around 175 degrees). After that, add 3tsp of the Fruta Bomba and the remaining water. Steep for another 3 minutes. Drain over ice.
