I received it as a gift in the silver/blue color, and I do love it. However if not careful that coloring will come off. It has slowly gone from daily use to decoration in trying not to ruin it.

Cons

Absolutely my most favorite purchase! I chose this teapot in charcoal gray because of its beautiful craftsmanship, the meaning of the cherry blossoms, and the durability of cast iron.
Without such a darling teapot to keep my tea warm, fresh and constantly improving I would have lost interest in loose leaf teas after a few months, but this teapot has helped me give up drinking soda, coffee, and my ultimate downfall - lattes. It's developing a mineral glaze and has truly proven to be easy to care for and use. It does get hot while steeping, so use bamboo tongs to remove the lid and straining basket (metal will scratch the paint) and the spout can drip if you're not careful while pouring. The 21oz pot perfectly fills 4 small teacups or 2 large mugs (my favorite).
I'm excited to keep this teapot throughout my journey through life!

I bought this (and a few other set items) for a friend's wedding. I loved it in the store, and she loved it upon receiving it. My only comment would be this: I bought this pot in-store, where it cost me just about twice as much as is quoted online... I'm not sure why the price would be different, and I'm a little miffed. However! Excellent product, exquisitely beautiful, and very well received.
Pros

- Keeps tea hot and fresh
Cons

I love this teapot - it's amazingly soothing to make a ritual of creating and serving tea for my husband and myself after our long and tiring days - and with the tealight warmer and trivet we can keep this right in the bedroom and our tea stays hot, fresh and delicious. And the design is GORGEOUS!
Pros
- High Quality
- Indestructable
- Pretty
Cons
- High price
Best Uses
- Tea for two
I received this today (in gold) as a birthday present and I really like it! I've bought A LOT of tea pots and be it ceramic, glass, plastic, cheap, or expensive they have all in some way chipped, and/or cracked, and/or broke.
I highly recommend this one because its just the right size, cute and pretty but holds enough tea for two (4 cups). Im planning to leave it out because it looks pretty enough for display but since its not an odd shape finding space for it in the cabinets wont be hard either. Its not super heavy like most cast-iron tea pots either... but I guess if you're seeking to lose weight with the help of tea a heavier teapot would help LOL!

I bought this in a store and paid twice as much for it. I find it beautiful, but it doesn't retain the heat, even with preheating. I keep a flame under it and it'll stay warm. I like my tea VERY hot. Cups are too hot to handle!

I saw this teapot online and ended up going to a store to check it out...as soon as I saw a silver one, I knew I had to have it. I usually only drink tea by myself so a teapot this size is perfect. It keeps the tea warm very well, and it's so easy to clean. I went from using one of those plastic strainer cups to this, and I wouldn't ever go back. If you're looking for a good, medium sized tea pot, this is a great choice. The price may seem kind of outrageous if you've never thought about buying such a thing before, but it will probably outlast you.

I got the small gold cherry blossom tea pot for my birthday, along with two cups and coasters. I LOVE this thing! It's lovely to look at and quite functional. It retains heat better than some other teapots, too. But a tip for cast-iron: pre-heat it by pouring boiling water and rinsing it out. It helps retain heat. Anyway, the only problem is that it's not suited for dorm life, but better as a "welcome back". Anyhow, it's great! I wouldn't trade it for another!
