In the symbolism associated with Yixing teapots, the Cherry Blossom represents beauty and wealth. And this beautiful pot will make you wealthy with great tea! Delicately artistic, this pot is made from a specific Chinese clay that seasons over time to enhance the flavors of your favorite tea. Because of this, it should only be used with one type of tea. Show off your favorites by pulling out a Yixing pot when you make them!

Comments about Teavana Cherry Bloom Yixing Teapot:

The teapot is very cute. I got it mostly because it matched my dinnerware set and my husband liked it. It's not quite as well painted as it is in the picture. Kind of sloppily painted actually, but that doesn't bother me too much. Like the other review stated, it makes quite a mess if you don't pour it right. I am not overly impressed with this teapot but it is quite attractive and I am glad I have it.

Comments about Teavana Cherry Bloom Yixing Teapot:

Initially I gave this a one after my first pot of tea, but...

I simply couldn't believe a pot so exquisite in its esthetic beauty could be sold if indeed it was as bad as I had thought, so I tried some attempts at pouring with plain water.

What I found out was that this pot needs a very brisk pouring method. If you try to pour gently, it will indeed dribble along the side of the pot and make a decent mess. However, a "fast" pour will not drip. Well - if it does, there doesn't seem to be enough to run off of the pot.

I just find the looks of this pot so engaging that I must keep it! And now I understand its somewhat peculiar and design. I hope if you elect to buy one - by no means shy away from it due to my first review impressions, you too will be aware of its particular "needs" and enjoy the tea it will provide!

You'll see I changed my mind and would now recommend this pot - as long as you know how to pour it!

(you still may want a screen though...)
