I bought this warmer along with a cast iron teapot and some teas on a recent trip to Boston and I love the warmer. It really works. After I infuse the tea it keeps it at the perfect temperature for 3 or 4 hrs. I find it very very convenient.

I received this warmer as a gift along with a beautiful cast iron tea pot and matching set of cups. Excellent quality, heavy cast iron, really adds to the look of a tea pot when left sitting out. Best part is, it works great! The tea light candle keep the tea pot warm, and even without the candle lit it's the perfect warmer to leave a hot tea pot on. Be careful with rust, as it is cast iron. I didn't move mine on the kitchen counter for a couple days and when I did there was a rust ring on the counter. My fault, as it is cast iron and therefore will rust if damp/left to sit. Really completes the gift of a cast iron tea pot. I definitely recommend this item!

I just picked one up to keep my glass teapot warm. Unfortunately my little cast iron one had a rust spot under the lid so it has now resigned to being a display piece on my fireplace mantle. As for keeping my glass teapot warm, it works! The glass is also single walled, not double for insulation, so that's a plus. I'm now thinking of picking another one up for my cup. Sometimes I'm too busy or get distracted and don't drink all of my tea before it cools down. Having a second warmer for the cup would take care of this. My wife will probably kill me though... :)

This warmer will keep your tea warm for hours, all you need is a tea light! I use this with the my small ceramic tea pot and it is perfect.

There is absolutly nothing I can't say good about this. Not only does it keep my tea warm, it even heats it up for me amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I read some of the other reviews and I don't understand what they are talking about. I know my cast iron teapot is 16 oz and theirs might be bigger so it requires more heat. For me though this is amazing.

Keeps the tea at a good drinking temperature, which was expected. As mentioned in an earlier review, without it your cast iron will only stay warm for about an hour. I drink tea everyday, and a hour is usually too breif to drink 35-40oz, so the warmer was definately a good investment for me.

I love this tea warmer. I just got it as a gift this weekend and have used it constantly. I use my favorite tea mug on it and my tea stays hot until I'm done drinking it. I found that the cheaper "bulk" bag of tea lites kept my tea much warmer than the expensive ones at the candle store (not sure why, but I ran out of the cheap ones and had to use one from the candle store and it just didn't keep my tea hot enough. Sounds crazy, but it's true). Buy the warmer--you'll love it!

I bought this to use with the cast iron tea pot and it is really cool looking but to be honest, it won't keep your tea warm longer than the hot water will stay hot naturally. This isn't a problem for me because I am usually done by that point anyway but it won't seem to really keep anything warm. It looks cool though and is a nice place to set your teapot!

I used this warmer for the first time earlier tonight to keep my hot cast iron tea pot from burning my counter top and it worked wonderfully. I haven't had the need to put a tea light in it yet to keep tea warm as I have a small tea pot and drink my tea before the pot and its contents cool off, but while at the Teavana store they use these to keep their large pots of sample tea hot and the lady said that a tea light will last several hours in one of these. Be careful - if the tea light has just gone out, the lid will be HOT, so I'd recommend using a towl or hot pad to remove the top to put a new tea light in.
Overall, this is a very handy piece of tea equipment to have if you have a large tea pot and want to enjoy several cups of hot tea throughout the day and don't want to steep more.

My boyfriend got me this on Christmas and it truthfully works. The cast iron I believe heats up throughout it and keeps hot to the touch. It's simple and stylish you can use it as a votive or to keep your tea warm, I love it! Especially at night when you want to relax you can see the flames dancing off the walls it's really cool.

the tea light candle in bottom to keep it warm keeps going out and needs to be relit several times. and it doesn't keep the tea hot just warm. please advise me regarding this problem.
