Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
I started drinking green tea for health reasons - too much cancer in my family. I know it is recommended to brew this tea for 45-60 seconds but to get full health benefits you need to allow 8-10 MINUTES (allows an adequate extraction of the catechin molecules). It is also recommended to add some fresh lemon to enhance GT's health benefits. I think this tea is the best and I am so disappointed that it is being discontinued. Is it true????

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
Excellent Pi Lo Chun tea, but it really needs to be brewed carefully to provide the best experience. If you follow Teavana's recommendations you're going to get a weak liquor.
Recommendations:
1. Use twice as much leaf as what Teavana recommends (2 heaping teaspoons for 8oz, ballpark).
2. Use water slightly hotter than the 175F that Teavana recommends; these leaves can handle it. My dispenser does 185F, which I allow to cool for 15-20 seconds, and this is perfect.
3. Use a teapot with a built-in strainer to allow the leaves to expand fully.
4. Make sure you rinse the teapot with hot water before brewing, to get it nice and hot.
5. Brew for one minute.
If you follow those instructions, you should be able to get 3-5 brews out of one set of leaves.

Even though I am a person that prefers a more full-bodied tea...I really like this and it is the first tea I have not had to add honey or sugar to....I did use more tea leaves than suggested.
Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
Really good stuff. I do progressive steepings and despite it's delicate character is good for at least 4 steepings. 30, 45, 55, 60 were my steep times (in seconds) and I use 1 tsp per 8 oz. I'm picky about my water and use icelandic spring water, but any spring water will do, I like the water to be cold before I heat it, I think it allows the water to heat more evenly. This tea is pretty delicate so I'd say keep temperature 170-175 max. Color becomes more apparent during each subsequent steeping. Flavor and aroma are more pronounced as well. I really enjoyed this tea. Will buy it again.

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
This is a fantastic, simple green tea. It's beautiful to look at, has a nice light earthy aroma, and tastes just like a traditional Chinese green should taste. The description says that the tea leaves absorb the scent of the nearby fruit blossoms- this doesn't give the tea a fruity taste though, so don't expect that. What it does do is mellow out this tea, smooth it out. So what you have is a lovely, slightly smoky, lightly earthy, simple green tea. This Chinese tea is less aggressive than a Japanese, a good starter green for those unused to green teas. Pi Lo Chun is a regular in my tea cabinet, so try it!- (and trust me, I've got LOTS of tea). Enjoy!

Wonderfully smooth green tea! My 2 1/2 year old and I enjoy drinking this tea together. She loves it and that makes mommy happy that it is a very healthy drink. Starting her tea addiction very early!!!

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
I purchased this off of an in store recommendation. When I make a pot I like to use more tea leaves than the recommended amount and steep it a bit longer. Usually 2 minutes. Some may scoff at this, but it doesn't have a very strong flavor for my pallet. The 45 second steep time that was recommended in the store releases little flavor. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough for this tea.

This is the green tea that reminded me why I ever got a cup of green tea tattooed on my arm! The first sip told me of the perfect flavor volume it had, and it smells wonderful.

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
Medium body and flavor that is well balanced and smooth tasting. Highly medicinal and mild in nature overall best describes this green tea.I drink this tea daily and alternate it with my Japanese Gyokuro. One might find that generally the Chinese green teas will be lighter and less flavorful than the Japanese green teas. Both are excellent choices and depend on personal
preference.

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
This tea is good, however it is a bit too weak for me. The flavor is light and delicate, but doesn't have the usual Green Tea Flavor I had expected. It is a good tea for those who are new to Green Teas or do not like the typical vegetal taste associated with Green Teas.

This Tea Really made me fall back in Love with Tea !

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
This is the finest green tea I've ever tasted. It's smooth, delicate with a gentle flavor and without the bite that some green teas have. I like it a bit stronger so I put about 1 1/2 tsp. in a cup and am careful to not steep more than one minute. Truly wonderful green tea. Thanks Teavana!

Comments about Teavana Pi Lo Chun Green Tea:
Teavana has made a change for the better, acquiring some very quality teas. This is one of them and it is a very good Chinese Green Tea. Pi Lo Chun is one of the ten famous teas in China and for good reason - it has a soft, smooth mouthfeel, offering vague hints of fruits in a very relaxed green tea. This is not a vegetal tasting tea and should have a broad appeal. It is complex, but very smooth and has a wonderful taste. One of the very best teas that Teavana offers!
