This is a great product, the only downside (that I am willing to live with) is that after you are done and you want to set the tea infuser aside on any surface (table etc), the built in base is already wet due to the moisture condensing during the infusion (when the base is used as a cap)

Comments about Teavana Stainless Steel Micro Infuser:
While it has both pros and cons, overall I really like this strainer. With its very tiny holes, it excels at straining even the most troublesome of leaves and its size makes it very well-suited to an office enviroment.
The two downsides are 1) the size and 2) the heat conductivity. You need to have a taller mug to fit this very tall strainer. And being all metal, the stainer conducts and holds heat well, leading to burnt fingertips when you try to remove it.
But even with those detractors, I still love this strainer and recommend it.

Comments about Teavana Stainless Steel Micro Infuser:
This fits well in a taller mug for a single serve and equally as well over a larger narrow mouth container for a larger/group serving size. It fits well in most of my tea pots as well.

Comments about Teavana Stainless Steel Micro Infuser:
This infuser was puchased as a temperary one and it will be just that. It gets to hot to touch. It does not fit well in a normal size cup, steam escapes. The lid, what's the point? The old gold infuser is a much better design all around.

Comments about Teavana Stainless Steel Micro Infuser:
For the price this a very good infuser. Only down fall I had with this is how tall it is. If your using this for a single serving/cup you have to use a taller cup if not the rims don't touch allowing the heat to escape and not infusing properly. However this is perfect for a teapot replacement or spare. This is also good for teas that contain smaller leaves/pieces or rooibos because the holes are small enough they don't get into your tea. Something else that bothered me was "lid [...] doubles as a drip-catching trivet under the infuser when done"...this doesn't work that well because there will be condensation on the bottom getting your table/desk wet defeating the purpose.
