This is a great item for single-cup brewing. It can be hard to clean if you don't empty the mesh soon, but that's not a big deal. Some tiny particulates will flow through the mesh, but not large pieces. I think it works better than regular tea balls.

I love this for just making a single cup of tea. It works perfectly and doesn't let any leaves through. The only con is that its a little hard to clean the leaves out but really not that big of a deal, I love it!

we bought this as a second strainer for our cast iron pot so we weren't stuck brewing the same blend all day since we drink about 6 pots of tea a day. It does let some of the fine bits of some teas like Rooibos teas threw but we don't mind that. The handle also makes it easier to get the strainer out of the cast iron pot which is nice. So it does the job we expected it to and it's holding up nicely we've had it now for 3 months

This strainer is great for tea pots. I have 2: one for the green and one for the black. Just insert into the pot and then add your loose tea. Add your hot water, then when it is done steeping, just remove the whole strainer. No more bitter tea!

This would probably work fine if you don't mind a lot of "stuff" in your tea. This DOES NOT work well at all with any of the Rooibos teas, which I prefer. The Rooibos tea leaves go right through this and your last few sips will be a big mouthful of tea. Yuck. If you enjoy tea at all, spend the extra [$] and get the Perfect Tea Steeper. Works great with even the smallest leaf teas and cleans up very easily.

What more can you say, it works perfectly in a teapot or in a basic mug. Just pop the tea leavs in and put it in some water. Works perfectly!!!
