I guess that you really have to love cardamon to like this tea. Like cilantro.. you love it or loathe it. Perhaps someone who is a chai drinker might like it. Myself I liked the smell in the store but knew that I was in trouble when I smelled it brewing. I wound up throwing out the entire pot. Nothing helped the taste for me. I had been hoping for a flavor more along the lines of wassail in terms of spices but with chocolate tones. Not even in the ballpark. Subtle this tea is not.

Well, I just tried this tea for the first time today and I was surprised. I don't eat any chocolate or sweets and try to eat as healthy as i can, so i wanted something chocolatey for tea. I have enjoyed many Teavana teas and I find this one enjoyable. However its not exactly what I expected. There is more of a chocolatey after taste that makes the tea enjoyable. Probably would buy other teas and wait to purcchase this again. If you like chocolate give it a try!

I drink this wonderful tea at the end of a long day. It taste like some thing that is a no-no for me like Hot Chocolate. With a bit of sugar or healthy substitute and touch of milk this tea is the best!

I recommend this for people who like chai, and people who like dark chocolate, esp the fancy kind w/ unusual spices. It's good as hot tea, or as iced. I also like it iced w/ milk added b/c it's like a sophisticated form of chocolate milk!

This wasn't exactly my cup of tea, so to speak. I loved the way it smelled when I first opened the bag, but the black pepper flavor came out entirely too much for my taste. I needed to drink this tea with sugar and cream, when I normally don't add either. This tea also needs to be brewed properly, or it tends to get very bitter.

A great soothing hot drink for cold days. My grandfather - who drinks only black tea with copious amounts of creamer - tried it and now always asks for his 'special tea'. Clearly visible spice pieces along with the rooibos base provide a balanced, if strong, flavor. Coffee lovers might also try MateVana.

I've been looking for another tea to call my own, this one is it. I love the pepper kick. It reminds me of mexican drinks, just enough flavor but not too much. Oh I add a tad of the sugar crystals. After I finish my large tin (african roobios), I'm going to fill it up with Haute Chocolate.

This tea has a great aroma and a not too sweet taste which I was expecting because of its name. The flavor of the ginger is the most noticeable which gives it an enjoyable spice. Also, after drinking this tea I feel more relaxed which makes it perfect for drinking before bed.

I love this tea. I have tried a decent number of teas from this company and I think is one of my favorites. The only problem for me is that weight for weight, there isn't very much rooibos, a lot of it is just spices...but the taste is excellent.

I really enjoy tea and I especially like black teas (lapsang souchong; darjeeling, blends); green tea (jasmine phoenix pearls); oolong; and rooibos (vanilla or straight). I also LOVE chocolate and I prefer dark chocolate. I provide all this to give context to why I disliked this tea.

It isn't for everyone. I don't necessarily prefer cinnamon with chocolate and the mix of flavors made it impossible for me to even finish a cup. Generally, I think I'm not a fan of flavored tea unless it is floral (jasmine).

If you like cinnamon and chocolate flavors together and generally enjoy flavored tea - especially flavored rooibos tea, then consider this tea! You will probably like it.

This rooibos tea is great when you need some chocolate and are on a diet. It helps control my snack cravings. Just brew with whole/skim/rice/soy milk and add sweet'n' low or equal if you want some sweetness.

This one was OK... I think I like it on the stronger side a little better so I normally add a little more to the pot than suggested.

A fantastic tea! Perfect for those times when you want the comfort of hot chocolate, but the clean palate of tea. Excellent on its own anytime, this is sublime in the morning with the addition of black leaf tea -- try a ration of 2 black to 3 chai for heaven.

This tea steeps quickly and is full bodied. Its aroma is fragrantly spicy, almost like a potpourri & is a bit deceiving until you taste it. It's flavor is heavenly - you get the crisp, smooth rooibos flavor combined with a hint of chocolate, cinnamon and other spices. This tea definitely wakes the taste buds!!! I especially enjoy this tea on a really cold winter evening.

This is a unique rooibus. The cinnamon and ginger are the most pronounced of the flavors. It has a nice nutty taste and would be wonderful after dinner or in the afternoon. This is a winter tea for me. I can't say that I would want to drink it in the summer or iced. It is really perfect as a nice treat on a cold winter night.
