Teavana's exclusive Hawaiian Lehua Gold honey is produced by bees located in the upland native forests of the volcano Mauna Loa in the remote Ka'u district on the Island of Hawaii, and they gather nectar almost exclusively from the lovely and delicate Lehua flowers. The bright red Lehua flowers are symbols of erotic love and are sacred to Pele, the goddess of fire and volcanoes. The bees' hard work yields an extraordinarily full bodied, rich honey with a very pleasing buttery-floral flavor reminiscent of English toffee. Our Lehua honey will naturally form very fine, almost white crystals after it has been bottled.

I am a big fan of honey in my tea, and this is by far one of the best tasting honey's I have ever tasted. A nice delicate flavor, that will not over-power your tea. Fantastic!
