Comments about Teavana Embossed Lotus Tea Mug with Infuser<br />:
I've had this cup for over 6 months now. It is very functional & goes from my microwave to my desk. I mainly use this for work & have other cups at home also.
The porcelain looks really nice and smooth but the filter it came with has rather larger holes and with most tea, there are sediments at the bottom. I found that if you stir the tea, the sediments will drift to the bottom but it is a little irritating.

I use this cup several times a day. It feels very smooth to the touch and I find the lotus motif very calming. I have had no problems with the surface overheating, but there is a handle on mine anyhow.
My one problem with this mug is that the infuser does not properly filter. The holes are far too big and with every tea I tried I would get large amounts of sediment. I switched to a mesh metal filter that happened to fit the mug, but I wanted to be able to use the infuser that it came with.

I just bought this mug at the store. I love the painting of the lotus and the smoothness of the mug. Very pretty. I put in a teaspoon of Strawberry Slender in the filter and brewed my tea, but by the time I removed the filter in like 3-4mins there was quite a few leaves in the drink itself, which eventually sank to the bottom. I think the holes may be to big so the leaves are just filter through. It may work with other bigger tea leaves. I still love it though!
