Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

This tea is beautiful to watch, and smells wonderful. The taste is too light for many people, but white tea enthusiasts will love it.

I stumbled upon a great way to enjoy this tea by accident. I wanted to save the blossoms from this tea and the Strawberry Misaki tea (Teavana's other blooming tea – I tried both) to re-use the next day because the salesperson told me I would get many uses out of each ball. I stored the once-used blossoms in tall glasses of cold water in the refrigerator overnight, covered in plastic wrap. I thought that they might make a great table centerpiece, but – even better! – the smell and taste of the cold tea-infused water in the morning was amazing.

If you enjoy watching these teas bloom but don't enjoy their lightness of flavor, try the refrigerator trick. Refreshing!

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

Beautiful, fragrant tea. Flowering presentation in glass is very elegant. It's a white, light tea - which is a nice alternative to dark, strong teas. Tastes great with no sweetening - would suggest adding only 2-3 chunks of German Rock Sugar, if desired (unless you like your tea REALLY sweet).

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

My mom and I stumbled upon a Teavana store when we were out shopping together one day (a rare treat for us). I had been wanting to try tea for a long while but hadn't taken the plunge. The beautiful teapot sets in the window caught my eye, and one in particular: red-orange porcelain with the beautiful patina. It was my birthday week, and so my mom asked if she could get it for me as a birthday present! I was so excited, and immediately my mind was racing about what tea to try first. The Peach Momotaro sample I was offered tasted delicious and so I brought some home. Love it! The flavor is so fresh, so nice for summer, and I think it's really neat to see how the pearl blooms when it steeps. This was a wonderful introduction to tea for me, and I am having so much fun learning and experimenting and trying other flavors and varieties. I appreciate Teavana for taking something new that seemed like it could be a little overwhelming and putting it in the realm of something I can do and learn with all the supplies and info I need all in one place.

I only gave this tea a rating of 2/5 because the tea I tasted in the store *was* good. If I hadn't tasted it in the store, this tea would have received a 1. The tea does bloom into a beautiful blossom, and it has a wonderful, strong, peachy scent. Unfortunately when I brewed myself a cup at home I was disappointed of a tea that looks and smells like tea, but tastes like water. For the price of the tea, it was just a waste for me. Will not be buying it again, but I still plan on shopping Teavana frequently, as they do have plenty of wonderful teas.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

I have been drinking tea since I was only a few months old, and I would know a good tea when I taste one! This is one of them. The strong smell of the wrapped ball might make you believe that it might be overpowering, but it is a really suttle taste. It can be reused which is nice, and is so beautiful to watch, though I don't own a glass teapot. So, I put it in a pyrex glass measuring cup and placed a small plate over it to watch it and it was so beautiful! It is a fun thing to do if you just want to watch it. (: Definately will buy more when I am out.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

This tea certainly smells amazing, but i find it very weak. The peach seams to disappear to a very faint hint once you brew it. Brewing the tea longer doesn't bring out the flavor i wanted as well. This is white tea however; you shouldn't expect it to be very strong and potent. If you feel like having a very light tea, nothing overpowering on a spring morning this will certainly do the trick. The blooming however is simply amazing! I recommend getting a clear glass pot or tumbler to watch it!

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

It took me a while to convince myself to get this tea. Ultimately, I ended up getting it as a gift, and it's lovely. I got so excited watching it bloom, and when it did I had to be a dork and run around showing the flower to my entire family. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. I'm usually not a fan of weak teas, but I really enjoyed the flavor. Plus, I've found I get a TON of tea out of one ball. I drank about nine cups, all from one ball of tea. They all tasted very similar, if not exactly the same. I didn't want much more of the peach tea in one day, but I wanted to get my full money's worth. I now have almost two liters of this tea in a pitcher in the fridge so I can have it iced throughout the week.

When I got to about twenty cups, I had to really work to coax the flavor out of the tea. I had to let it steep for a very long time, and I also had to reheat the water, as it had cooled off before it finished steeping. But with a bit of effort, I did end up getting nicely flavored tea.

So while the tea seems a little pricey, it's definitely worth it. It looks gorgeous, it tastes great, and (since I insist on steeping the poor tea to death) the price works out to be around ten cents per cup, which is really isn't all that much.

I loved the smell of this tea and wanted to be flavorful but it just tasted like a bland white tea. Don't get me wrong, I like white. I let it steep for 5 minutes and longer, at 180 (in my single serve glass container. I just did not get much flavor from it :( - sugar might have brought it out, but I don't sweeten my tea.

I have two young children and with all of the excitement their lives bring, I need down time. We are all tea drinkers, so this was a fun treat to do with them. Watching the bloom was very cool. I woke up with a terrible headache this morning and after my second cup, it is almost gone. The price for this tea is costly, but if you are in a position to treat yourself, and you want a gently tea to simply refresh your senses, this is a great choice!

I bought this recently, hoping to actually taste the peach in the peach tea, but when I brewed this, I tasted practically nothing. It smells good, but there was no sign of any peach flavor in it, even though the peachy smell is pretty strong itself. I'm drinking it right now, and in all honesty, I feel like I'm just drinking hot water.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

I'll start with the pros. This tea looks beautiful, it blooms into a gorgeous flower which is fun to watch in action and great for glass teapots. I think it has a nice peachy smell. It can brew for a long time without becoming bitter. However, I am not a big fan of this tea. The flavor to me tastes like hot water with a squirt of peach juice, it is just not strong enough. Adding a second ball to get a stronger flavor seems like a waste of money to me at [$] oz. I've tried mixing it with some other teas to strengthen the flavor but then the peach doesn't come through at all. It would probably mix well with a stronger peach tea, but then it just looks pretty and isn't worth my money. I would only recommend this if you really like very light teas.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

This tea is fascinating! Half the fun comes from watching the unfurling tea-leaves and jasmine bouquet in the hot water. You get about 9 bulbs for the [$] (2 oz total), which can be pricey. Once I steep a bulb, I insist on drinking the entire tea's worth... which is often about 7 mugs! The saleslady at the story told me this could be re-steeped up to 15 times, but I haven't been able to test out that limit. The flavor of the tea is extremely mild. If you're looking for some rich flavor or a caffeine kick, this definitely isn't the tea for it. Remember it is white tea with some floral essence, so keep steeping times low and water at about 180 degrees max.

I got to try this baby one day while shopping around for some more tea to stock up on. I was asking the assiciate what she thought of the blooming teas and how it would do for a party I was holding. Upon purchasing a cup of it, I realized it is a great smelling tea, awesome decoration for a glass tea pot, but the flavour was disappointing. It did tast a bit more like peach than the Blooming Strawberry tasts of strawberry, but I feel it would do better as just a decoration in a pot that's been filled with another peach-like tea.

It's wonderful, flavorful, relaxing and because you can brew it for long periods without getting bitter ... the last pot was just as good as the first (albiet you needed to brew it longer) It's worth every penny when you consider how much a cup of high end coffee from a store can cost. Now I use it in my double-wall tea glass from Teavana!

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

A great flavor! Multi-layered and robust. The body is a healthy medium-to-full: the blend of white and flower teas give it subtle undertones, while the peach flavor gives a tasty kick to the normally subdued taste of the aforementioned teas. However, I find that it doesn't overwhelm the senses- the blend is just perfect, giving you a sense of calmness, melded with an awakening and stimulating fresh peach taste. Faults I find with it are that the peach flavor is a bit artificial tasting, and the tea requires a small amount of sweetener to fully bring out the flavor. It's also a bit overpriced, in my honest opinion. I've been in the tea business for about three years now, and I was very impressed with the flavor this tea put out. And it's re-steepable several times- awesome!

Makes a great gift! Beautiful and delicious! :)

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

This is my Favorite Blooming tea. Very light Peachy flavor. The smell is even better than the taste. Watching the tea bloom is a beautiful sight. The bitter taste in white tea is a lot more noticeable due to the light flavor of the tea, so be sure to brew it at the proper tempature and length of time to keep it from getting bitter. To anyone that has tried this tea in the store and is thinking about buying it, I suggest you do. But make sure to buy some german rock sugar along with it if you want it to taste like it did in the store, they add 2-4 tablespoons of rocksugar to the tea in store. with or without sugar is good but if you are just getting into drinking tea I suggest you add sugar. In my opinion, sweetening up the tea also enhances the fruitiness of the tea. One last note, White teas are supposed to be very light flavored and will taste watered down, especially if you are used to darker teas or you like alot of sugar in your tea. Please keep that in mind before rating a tea.

We use this for every family meal, holiday, or celebration. The guests love watching the tea bloom, and it fascinates my two young nieces.

The flavor is very light and airy, making it easy to drink a whole pot without feeling tea-bloated. The bloom also makes a lovely centerpiece!

I bought this blooming tea after trying it in the shop. It was absolutely lovely in the shop and did not seem to weak. After bringing it home, the first ball I tried to make did not come out as it should have. It tasted very watered down and not very good. I made it again the second day and it was a lot better. The flavor is still a little weak for me and still tastes somewhat watered down. If you want a lighter tea, this is it. It has a very lovely peach flavor to is also. The bloom was beautiful as well. I will not be purchasing this again.

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

I didn't think I liked tea, but when I tried this at the store I was hooked. It's a mellow, sweet, and fruity flavor. It is a bit on the expensive side, especially since there's not a Teavana within a couple miles of where I live, but that hasn't stopped me from drinking 4 cups today!

Comments about Teavana Peach Momotaro Artisan Tea:

My first blooming tea and I'm in love! I brewed it as an iced-tea in my large Teavana glass iced-tea container. It was absolutely beautiful and the taste is peachy - very light and refreshing. I sipped it throughout the day and even re-brewed it an additional time. The first brewing is the best for sure, it loses flavor quickly because it's so light. The only downside is the cost - it's pretty expensive for a frequently-used tea so I drink it occasionally as a treat.

First steeping is best; subsequent steeps require longer steep times; steep in deep glass container if possible to enjoy full effect of the bloom.

The thing I love most about this tea was that the tea itself tasted sweet without having to add any sugar. It had a great light, yet identifiable peach flavor, with an nicely subdued jasmine scent that immediately soothes. So delish!
