I have heard a rumor Teavana is discontinuing this tea - please do not do it! This tea is the absolute favorite tea of my family and friends. Even my kids cannot get enough of it. There is nothing else out there like it. I'm going to buy pounds of it right now to stock up for a long time. Please reconsider!

I was told in the store today that Teavana is discontinuing this flavor so grab it now! This was my first Teavana tea and I looked forward to it every morning for the past 3 months. I add a little agave syrup to bring out the caramel notes but it's smooth by itself. I stocked up today but hope it will be around for a while!

Comments about Teavana Apricot Caramel Torte Green Tea:

This tea is like nothing else out there, it is absolutely perfect. I fell in love with it with the first sniff at the store - it is also very visually appealing, with fruit pieces and little blue flowers mixed in, pleasure both visually and flavor/taste-wise. It did not disappoint when I first brewed it - even my husband, who is not a big green tea fan, had two cups from the get go. Its flavor is so complex and unique, it instantly became my favorite. It is delicious both hot and cold, with and without sugar. For those who say it is weak, as it says in the instructions to all Teavana teas, if you desire stronger flavor, increase the amount of tea (not the steeping time). I do increase the proportions a little (which I do for most of my teas anyways) and simply cannot stop enjoying this wonderful tea. It does not compare to any other tea Teavana has, it has its own category!

Comments about Teavana Apricot Caramel Torte Green Tea:

Adding 1tsp of German rock sugar really brings out the flavor. If the tea has no flavor, add a little sugar. It can be overwhelmingly fruity if you do not scoop in enough green tea. Try adding 1 tsp of Sencha green with 3 tsp of Apricot Caramel to 4 cups water if you desire more of a 'green tea' taste and body. I can get 3 full brewings out of this tea using my tea maker. Please keep this tea.

Comments about Teavana Apricot Caramel Torte Green Tea:

I always try at least one new tea on my two to three visits each year to Teavana for stocking up. This was one of those that had promise, but just didn't make it as a green tea. It is perhaps better characterized as an herbal because there is simply no color nor flavor that one could ascribe to a sencha-based green tea. The fruit overwhelms it. So, if you like REALLY fruity tea, try it! If you like flavored green teas, make sure to taste it first before buying.

This tea is extremely sweet smelling, but in an artifical way. Once brewed it is just fruity and weak. I used more, and it tasted bitter. I mixed it with the Vert Au Lait tea (because I could not stomach that one alone - weak and gross) but it didn't help either tea. I definitely would not repurchase this tea.

Comments about Teavana Apricot Caramel Torte Green Tea:

This is one of the first teas I ever purchased from Teavana. Although I own many more kinds now I do come back to this one often. It has an absolutely amazing smell and beautiful pink color, but the taste, while good, isn't quite as impressive. The apricot notes definitely stand out above any caramel notes, but it's still a delicious fruity green tea. It tastes more herbal than it does green, so if you are looking for the "green" flavor I would blend with another of Teavanas plain green teas.

This tea smells absolutely AMAZING. The flavor in a way doesn't live up to the smell of it brewing, but its definitely still yummy. I was hoping for a little more caramel in the taste, but it does have a nice, light, fruity flavor to it with a hint of creaminess.

Comments about Teavana Apricot Caramel Torte Green Tea:

I purchased this tea because it smelled so wonderful in the store. However, it brewed not so great. It is nice to look at, but to be honest, there is so many other things besides the tea in the mixture that there isn't enough tea! It was too weak. I mixed with an apricot honeybush that I already own and it came out better.

Bottom line: Mix this tea with something else.

I spend a lot of time at Teavana and don't shop anywhere else for tea. This is the only one that I don't care for so far. I think it's because, I'm not a big fan of green tea, and it is too light of a taste for me. I was drawn to the name - because it sounded delicious. It's not bad; it's just not like the stronger teas that I've gotten used to.

This is a very tasty tea but as mentioned in the heading, it is not "green" tasting. In fact, I'd categorize it as more of a hibiscus tea than a green one due to its bright and fruity flavor as well as its hot pink color. I was intrigued by the ingredients and it is a great after-food tea although if you enjoy the earthiness of regular green teas, you may want to supplement this one with a more standard green like gunpowder, jasmine, etc.
