Much has been said about the brewing time for this tea. It is true. Don't offend this tea by overbrewing. You will have a bitter cup if you turn your back on it. Don't use a timer, though. When brewing tea, any tea, be present with the tea. Make tea brewing a meditation. Be present with the tea and you will know when the time is right. That time comes more quickly than one would think. Be of good health. Share your tea with all.

Comments about Teavana Darjeeling Vidyaranya Black Tea:
I had always liked darjeeling but hadn't tried the really fancy kind before. It has a more pointed taste than regular black tea and the color is light. I've been enjoying this a lot as an iced tea in the hot weather. It feels soothing and energizing.
Comments about Teavana Darjeeling Vidyaranya Black Tea:
I saw this tea was rated as a single leaf in strength. I love black teas, but find that the 3 leaf strength is a bit too much for me on it's own and prefer the 2 leaf strength for my "every day" tea. This one was on my list to try and when I did, I found some amazing qualities along with restrictions. First, you can NOT treat this like a normal black tea with a 2-3 min steep time. It goes bitter after 1:30. Secondly, though it does have a mild "strength" to it's flavor, it is still quite rich with a nutty aftertaste to it. So the 1 leaf strength is misleading as it can easily be taken for a 2. That being said, it is a really nice tea that mixes well with others. Earthier teas play nicely with it such as Rooibos Peach. I would recommend this to a friend, but be sure to add that it must be handled with care to truly enjoy it.

Comments about Teavana Darjeeling Vidyaranya Black Tea:
I am not a huge black tea drinker, but I love this tea. It is relatively light for a black tea, and when you step it for 3 minutes it is not bitter at all. The flavor is slightly floral and fruity, slightly malty, and very soothing. Definitely worth the price!

Very nice tea. Although, I do agree that it gets bitter quickly so don't oversteep! Just a very, very nice natural tasting tea which I love.

Comments about Teavana Darjeeling Vidyaranya Black Tea:
The cup steeps quite quickly reaching full color in about two minutes thirty seconds to three minutes thirty second. Keep your eye on the clock! It has a very delicate muscatel, not at all overpowering. It is smooth and will not leave a dry mouth as long as you do not over steep it. On a side note: DO NOT RE-STEEP. The tannin content is too high and you will end up with a bitter cup.
Overall, a wonderful tea at any time of day.

I sampled this tea because I thought there was no way any tea is strange smelling would taste good enough to spend that much money on. It was WELL worth the price. It is great.

While I prefer a stronger black tea, this does the trick in the morning, I usually let it steep for a bit longer than normal. Very nice aroma
